Good Morning Everyone,
Dark here but looking dry in brackley at the moment.
Usual Tuesday for me , going to bus it to Bicester and have my usual coffee plus snack , then a small shop before returning home .
And have relaxing afternoon , but first thing after some breakfast is a few household chores .
Take Care ,
Mick

Kalu, good luck today. I hope you get
some support. Mine has been permanently high, despite lots of meds. It's genetic, unfortunately.

EllanVannin Tue 01-Feb-22 10:38:11

Kalu do you feel as though your BP is anxiety-related ?
I ask because I'm pretty sure most of mine was/is over the years.
I've had 24hr monitors and one time I had to put up with a week of it. That was a complete farce as a junior doctor said he couldn't understand head nor tail of the readings and that was the end of that. I refused another week one.

Morning all,

It’s another blustery day in South Yorkshire but at least the sun is out, which makes it more cheerful.

Waiting for BT engineer as our service is becoming somewhat intermittent of late. Perhaps a new router is needed?

Nothing else on the agenda for today so far except a bit of ironing to finish. Such excitement, eh? ?

Hope you all have the best day possible, and to those of you feeling sad, lost, poorly or lonely I hope today will bring you some comfort. ?

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow but still strong winds are still present whistling through window vents. It is still lovely though to see some sunshine.

A quick FaceTime call to DD2 in Aus. last night to wish her happy 44th birthday, lucky besom. It is still odd wishing her happy birthday the night before her birthday because of the time difference.

BP monitor fitted yesterday and unfortunately, first two readings this morning show it is still up in the 90’s!. Hoping, what will be a foregone conclusion is that my Ramipril dose will be upped when I have a chat with the practice nurse when I return the monitor this afternoon. Such a true saying, old age doesn’t come alone.

Have a good day all.

Thoughts for your DD Chrissielou. It's never an easy journey but the end result is usually worth it. x flowers

Good Morning All x. White Rabbits.
A bright and breezy day so that calls for some washing to get hung out------having just said that, it's clouded over grin

General wiping around and hopefully hoovering if the cats get out of the way, although they'll hide anyway when it's on the go.

Last of the beef to finish up today, so beef and onion sandwiches and a tin of tomato soup later, that'll fill a hole.
It's done well that piece of beef, tender too.

Glad your earring was found BlueSapphire, it might have gone up the hoover. I think one of mine did many years ago. I'd given up looking for it, then over time, forgot about it. The sad thing is that it was an old very fine dangler with tiny pearls and peridots and obviously got caught on a jumper I had on. I still have the other one.

Hoping you feel a bit better today Oopsadaisy, it's not nice being under the weather.
Sorry about your poor friend Lins these things are worse when a person still has their wits about them, bless her.

Matt was funny as usual and well up to date with present news. Enjoy the day Urms.

Washing's on so I'll get showered as the bathroom will be warm now. Take care everyone and stay safe. Thoughts to the poorly grans flowers xx

Good Morning all from bright Harrogate.
Serendipity22 enjoy your trip to Knaresborough, its a very pretty little town. While you are there you should look at the statue in the market square of "Blind Jack" an amazing man.
Apparently Knaresborough used to be a larger town than Harrogate, but Harrogate merged Low Harrogate and High Harrogate to make it the town it is today.
I am feeling slightly better today (thanks for your concern).
An interesting picture Alizirin - I must get my paints out again, there's plenty I want to do, but I'm filled with cantbebotheredness these days, maybe as this month goes on will feel more like painting.
Have the best day you can, folks

Good morning from S Lanarkshire where it seems to be drying up at the moment.

BlueSapphire I love to see the names of places like Market Harborough that I visit when I’m down in Corby visiting my sister, it seems to bring her closer. Two years since I’ve seen her but hopefully sometime not too far away now.

DGD has joined DGS in the Covid ward but they don’t seem to be too bad and at least the isolation period won’t trail on for weeks like baubles poor daughter’s family. Well unless mum and dad get it too.

Will get organised and head out to post a couple of books to help pass their time then a visit to a friend this afternoon for coffee and blether.

Sorry to hear of your DD’s experience during her treatment Chrissielou but glad she felt okay afterwards.

Wishing everyone a good day???

Oh Urms, I'm sure you wouldn't dare! wink ?

Urmstongran Tue 01-Feb-22 09:45:06

Apologies Marydoll didn’t mean to ignore you! I hope you get sorted out soon.

Urmstongran Tue 01-Feb-22 09:38:26

My thoughts are with you this morning GrannySomerset. ‘Shopping for an unenthusiastic one’ was poignant indeed.
Big hugs to you today. It must be hard. x

GrannySomerset

Feeling pathetic after a genuinely sleepless night so don’t plan much in the way of activity though am doing a small supermarket shop as I try to adjust to catering for an unenthusiastic one. Bright and cheerful morning, though, which always helps, and snowdrops and hellebores in the garden are a welcome sight.

If you don’t feel like cooking, why don’t you indulge in “ping” meals? It won’t harm you for a few day….
When Philip died, I still had to feed DH and various people so had to cook. I have to say I lost about 1/2 stone in a few weeks - all back on now ?

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Busy morning at local shopping centre trying to find everything on my list. Youngest GS's birthday this week, Lovely morning yesterday with friend of 52 years, there we sat dressed in the same colours with near identical earrings, very comforting in a strange way!
Good wishes to all.

GrandmaSeaDragon Tue 01-Feb-22 09:31:17

lins1066 flowers We are so very lucky to see our children and grandchildren growing up.

Our black working cocker is now 3 and until I walked DDs puppy last week, I hadn’t realised how much he had calmed down!

Good morning from a cloudy Black Country.

6.1 miles our Monday group walked yesterday, the fields were being ploughed, with the Gulls trailing behind.

Then home for lunch of my homemade chicken and vegetable soup. Made Date and Walnut loaf in the afternoon.

Today meeting friends for lunch. Will go on the bus as only 15 minute journey.

Wishing you all a good day.

Chrissielou Tue 01-Feb-22 09:10:04

Breezy and dry here in Oxfordshire this morning, it feels less cold too. Bit of a dramatic day yesterday fir DD1's 2nd chemo/immunotherapy trial treatment, infusion administered too quickly resulting in an allergic reaction. Very frightening for her and it alarmed her medical team. Final outcome was good though and mission accomplished. Nothing seems to be straight forward on this journey!
Lots of work meetings today, but I will squeeze in dog walk, wordle and more cooking. Hope you all have a good Tuesday; and it seems that spring is a little closer now.

harrigran Tue 01-Feb-22 09:09:38

Good morning from a mild but very windy NE, the temperature doubled overnight.
When I went downstairs to make my cup of tea this morning I found I had left all the kitchen lights on overnight, spotlights and cabinet lights.
SIL and I brought crates of papers from the garage to sort, I was surprised to find that there was a dehumidifier running shock DH hadn't been in there for the last year or two before he died so how long had it been in use ?
Electricity company are coming to fit a smart meter this afternoon, my present meter is in a position that makes it too difficult for me to read.
DD still has not heard from hospital and was getting increasingly worried about her absence from Brussels but she has been reassured that she is okay for now, I should say so as she works a minimum of twelve hours a day online and is always available.
SIL is coming today so that he is here too while the work is carried out, I am concerned some equipment may need to be reset after disconnection.
DH's computer has started to malfunction so SIL ordered a new battery, the computer has a lot of important Information stored on it so I don't want it to pack in just yet.
Look after yourselves.

Serendipity thank you. Will certainly be checking it out. Knaresbrough is on my list to visit soon , it always looks so pretty in the pictures. I’m meeting a friend for coffee in Harrogate this month so may call on the way back…..

EkwaNimitee Tue 01-Feb-22 09:02:42

Good morning Mick and all from bright and breezy Carlisle.
A morning of housework and admin planned here. In the afternoon, hopefully a walk. That's supposed to be the new scheme of things...gardening one day, exercise the next, alternately. My back is not taking well to digging in the garden so I'm seeing if this is the way to go. Once the turf has gone and the plants are in, life should be easier out there.
Well, off to get stuck in so have the best day possible everyone.

BlueSapphire Tue 01-Feb-22 09:02:27

Dragonfly, there are a few shoe places in Rushden, but not visited any of them. I know that Market Harborough has a good shoe factory shop, of course that's Leics. Happy shoe hunting!

Good morning Mick and everybody. Wet and windy in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 9°C.

Housework today, maybe a walk later, weather permitting.

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?
