Does anyone remember Hancock's Half Hour from the 60's? I must see if I can track down the episode where he fancies himself as an intellectual and takes on a book by Bertrand Russell ...

Men behaving badly, and Brush Strokes. (Somebody must remember that? It had a slight hint of magic in it, and the theme tune was lovely, too)

Oh I forgot "Car Share" - I really loved it even though I usually don't enjoy watching Peter Kaye confused

A few British ones that I enjoy/enjoyed that I don’t think have been mentioned yet - Friday Night Dinner, Phoenix Nights, Car Share, the various Blackadders, Gimme Gimme Gimme, The New Statesman, Green Wing, Up Pompeii. Lots of American ones - The Big Bang Theory, King of Queens, Happy Days, American Dad, Parks and Recreation, Two and a Half Men (only when Charlie Sheen was in it), I Love Lucy, Family Guy, Married with Children, The Cosby Show (sadly spoiled by the revelations about Bill C.), Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Modern Family,The Simpsons.

Ohhhh I absolutely loved Keeping up appearances I have a box set DVD's of poor Richard living a hen pecked life hahahaha and I love, love, love Last of the summer wine. I watch repeats on TV that are showing ......

Good, clean fun. No swearing, no sex scenes ( ok ok if Compo had his wicked way with Nora Batty the air would turn blue hahaha )

Reading this thread and all posts has filled me with happiness..... ☆☆☆☆☆☆

Dinner ladies - just watched the series again on Britbox and was reminded what a loss Victoria Wood’s death was to the world of comedy.

I used to love Roseanne.

One Foot in the Grave is on something like the Drama channel as repeats . We have watched it from the first episode again and loved it . Still Game makes me cringe despite being Scottish. I noticed nobody mentioned " It Aint Half Hot Mum " one of my school friends was in it but it will never be repeated . We enjoyed it at the time .

Floradora9 Sat 16-Apr-22 16:02:31

The good life. The High Life which only ran for eight episodes but I found it hilarious. It started Alan Cummings, Forbes Masson and Siobhan Redmond. Very Scottish so might have been local to me.

Oh yes the High Life with the quote " would you like a wee tootle of shortie " I loved it .

Only Fools and Horses

Not sitcoms, but I loved Trigger Happy TV, The League of Gentlemen, and Inside No. 9
