Where do we start? We’ve already had a difference of opinion and we are still at home.
He seems to think the more expensive the better, I keep banging on about the Premier inn’s Hypnos which I have always found comfortable.
We have had a Tempur but would like a change. It has done well for years but is past it now.
My education was wasted , I should have done a degree in mattress suitability.

TOO MUCH CHOICE.

Bought fairly recently, it took ages to come after being ordered. It was approximately £1,000. For a king sized one and worth every penny.

We have a bed frame with slats and were advised by John ‘the bed man’ to put pegboard or strong fabric over the slats to elongate the life of the mattress.
He also said the contract Hypnos bed is different than the one available to us. I’m not sure about that though, they actually sell one that is advertised as the Premier Inn bed.
Can they do that if it isn’t?

Pleased with our new Emma.

Pamelaj they don't actually sell it as the "same" bed. They say you are buying:
a domestic equivalent bed for a private residential property, supplied exclusively by Hypnos Contract Beds Limited, Hypnos’ separate hotel division, which is a Keen & Toms company.
But it only has a 5 year guarantee and other Hypnos beds have 10.

YorkLady

How on earth have I missed this thread. Spent all day yesterday looking at mattresses.. nearly bought a Relyon.
Ended up buying a wool and pocket sprung mattress, made by a British company called Millbrook.
It’s being delivered today ( I know, fantastic service) from a local company.
Hope I sleep well tonight.

Hope you slept well, YorkLady. Best mattress we've ever owned and it broke my heart when we couldn't just go out and replace it here.

Well, pamelaJ they have rather hidden that it's different - so it's hardly surprising!

Grandmafrench yes I did thank you. Very good nights sleep. Bought in the sale but still an outlay!
Guaranteed for 10 years though. Very comfy, have been reading in bed for over two hours and I am very pleased with it.

Bought a new mattress from JL a couple of years ago. It’s very comfy but incredibly heavy. This is not something we have ever thought about checking when buying mattresses previously.

We have to wait until one of the sons is around to help turn it as it’s a three person job.
