Morning Mick, morning all.

Rain on the windows in North Leicestershire and the bright sky is streaked with dark clouds.

Off to collect Persie this morning and crafts at the library this afternoon.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Pantglas1 Mon 19-Aug-19 06:41:03

Morning Mick and Kitty and all who appear later.

I’m all excited about hopping on a train to Media city with my friend for lunch then sitting in the audience for Countdown!

Lovely day for all x

NanKate Mon 19-Aug-19 06:53:39

Morning Mick and All.

Light rain due at 9.00 then a clear day here in South Bucks.

DGSs off to their Football Camp this morning DH and I in recovery mode until they return at 3.30.

Beechnut Mon 19-Aug-19 06:56:52

Good Morning all.
A dry bright day here on Severnside.
A walk to he library to return the DVD I borrowed and because I haven’t made one for a good while I am going to do a fish pie.
DD’s dog is looking out of the bedroom window and adding more nose art.

I hope you all have lovely adventures today ?

NfkDumpling Mon 19-Aug-19 06:57:58

Morning All

Home again to our dry bit of Norfolk. Only a couple of showers here while we were being drenched in Rutland.

Cleaning and emptying the caravan today before taking her back to her storage plot. It's the last excision before we swop to our new venture next month - a campervan!

Grammaretto Mon 19-Aug-19 07:02:10

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Chilly, grey and windy here.
It was good seeing so many of the family here yesterday but it's a rare treat.

Monday so more mundane things today.

Hope you all have a good day.

Brunette10 Mon 19-Aug-19 07:11:03

Good Morning from a windy Fife. We've had rain through the night so everything is still quite wet. Hopefully the day will brighten up. We have our new car to take back to garage with an irritating judder when you start the engine. Up early as we have 30 miles to get to garage. Survived the weekend with DGS's but have to admit feel tired today. Never mind they were good and good fun too. Hope everyone has an enjoyable day today.

Bellasnana Mon 19-Aug-19 07:25:20

Good morning from Malta where it is (no prizes for guessing) hot and sunny. We are supposed to be getting some stormy weather at the end of the month, but we shall see.

Coffee with a friend this morning. She has been away for a while so we will have a lot of catching up to do.

Hope you all have a good day and a happy week.☀️

Urmstongran Mon 19-Aug-19 07:25:22

Good morning everyone from gloriously sunny Malaga. The Mediterranean is a deep cobalt blue this morning - no sea mist so the horizon is sharply defined. Temperature will be 34°C today - Day 19 out of 25 with the family.

Man Utd play tonight so the men will go to a bar at 9pm to watch the match. Daughter and I will stay in the gardens later, wash the suncream of the smalls and stay local to eat. An earlier night is planned for us four - yippee!

A campervan NfkDumpling? How exciting - I’ve always fancied one. A friend has had one for years. They no longer go abroad in it but have great times in it visiting U.K. places that interest them.

Hope Monday is good to us all whether we have have plans or none. x

Nannytopsy Mon 19-Aug-19 07:26:07

Lovely morning here in Suffolk, with the gentle clucking of hens. The DGC were quite late to bed, so it’s been a gentle start to the day! I may go down and make coffee but first down faces the dogs!
Off to Kent later, to return the Granddog.
I hope Monday is kind to everyone.

ninathenana Mon 19-Aug-19 07:27:46

Morning everyone.
Dry but dull in Kent. DD, DGS2 and I are driving to Nottingham today to see DGS consultant and have a monitor fitted for his sleep apnoea. We're staying in hotel tonight and back to hospital tomorrow for results.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. I've been awake since before 5, DH has an early meeting in London so was on the train at 7. I've finished my latest book, washed up, put some washing on and will shortly jump in the shower.
I've a big bag of 'things' to take to the charity shop and then some food shopping .
After all that I'm not sure what I will be doing !!
Have a good day everyone.

Mythbirtthedragon Mon 19-Aug-19 07:39:07

Good morning from east London, bright and cloudy this morning. Tennis to play at lunchtime so hope rain behaves. Tomatoes still need attention (took GD out for the afternoon yesterday instead) and food shopping to do. Have a good day.

NannyJan53 Mon 19-Aug-19 07:46:35

Good Morning from a rainy Black Country, although it seems to be brightening up now.

U3A Canal Group meeting today, going on the train for a tour round a pump house then a walk along the 3 canals! Hope the rain holds off.

How exciting Nfk hope you enjoy your new camper van. We agreed a purchase on a caravan yesterday smile it will stay on the site in Wales until we can find storage near here. I have had caravans in the past with an ex, DP used to caravan in the 80's when he lived in Germany. So it is quite new for us together. The owners have thrown everything in from Awning to the extension for wing mirrors on the car.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning from the NE coast where the sun is desperately trying to get out but failing as yet. Promises of a dry day though which won’t matter to me as I’m off to “that place” in just under an hours time.

I didn’t get my marathon fence painting finished yesterday which I am disappointed about as it means I have to hope for another dry weekend ahead that I really didn’t want to waste on fence painting . Grrrrrr. I have about 24 uprights x 2 still to finish which will take another entire day, at least. This morning both my legs and right arm are aching like mad.

Anyway the man came for my greenhouse which was good (I think) he was much younger than he sounded on the phone and he was telling me all the plans he and his wife have of what they want to grow in it. I’m pleased it’s gone to a nice home. My DH said “you would think it was a living thing the way you have talked about it leaving home” grin

Well I have the usual Monday over night, Tuesday whole day childcare this week but “only” the 3 girls (13,11 and 1 ) . My DGS is off to a football camp with his team for 4 days, 3 nights, he has never been away without family so I hope he’s okay.

Well I hope those on holiday continue to have a lovely time and those who are at home have a pleasant Monday doing something nice . Xx

That’s me over and out folks. Another thrilling day awaits wink.

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s pickling down again in our corner of Somerset. Huge puddles, seriously horrid. Hope to get out to a garden centre for lunch after the ironing. Our friends in Norfolk keep telling us how dry it is nfk, wish they’d stop grin. Hope Monday is kind to everyone.

BlueSapphire Mon 19-Aug-19 07:49:55

Good morning everyone. Like kittylester, a blue sky streaked with dark clouds. Have some washing in so hope we don't get rain. Also hoping to cut the back grass this afternoon.

Doctor's this morning for blood pressure check, then to the library to change my books. Will stop at a cafe for coffee, do a bit of shopping and then walk home if the weather is still ok. Otherwise it's the bus. Must get the lamb mince out of the freezer before I go out as trying a new recipe. Apparently it's like a moussaka, but made with pasta instead of aubergine/potatoes. So essentially a Greek Lamb Pasta Bake. Will make enough for two meals, so it's eat one, freeze one.

Hope your Mondays go well.

Lins1066 Mon 19-Aug-19 07:57:57

Good Morning Mick and all. It is a dry and sunny start on the Welsh side of the Bristol Channel. Really windy yesterday and a choppy sea.

Need to do some shopping this morning and ring the garage for DD, her car needs a service.
Hope your grandson gets on ok Nina and that the week flies by for you gilly, think next weekend will be dry for you.

Have a good Monday everyone.

gillybob Mon 19-Aug-19 08:02:52

Thank you Lins1066 I feel like I am wishing my life away sometimes . Sigh...

Marydoll Mon 19-Aug-19 08:14:25

Good morning all from a cool and breezy Glasgow, I have had to put the heating on for an hour.

I'm off to see my GP this morning. This is they day when he will tell me if I'm allowed to go on holiday to Rome in a few weeks.
I'm not holding out much hope! sad. He wasn't too keen when I saw him a few weeks ago. Fingers and toes crossed.

I plan to finish my charity shop clearout this afternoon and do a bit of sewing. Such an intersting life I lead.

Enjoy your day all.

Greyduster Mon 19-Aug-19 08:15:15

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A sunny/cloudy start in South Yorkshire. I am waiting for His Little Nibs to arrive for the day. Not sure what we’ll do yet. He’s had a busy weekend so maybe not a lot! The car needs washing though! NfK I have been trying to “steer” DH towards a campervan, but he’s resistant at the moment! I shall keep chipping away! Have a good day folks!

Marydoll Mon 19-Aug-19 08:15:28

Interesting life, the pedant in me can't let that go! grin

gillybob Mon 19-Aug-19 08:18:54

I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a bit fat YES from your Doctor Marydoll smile

Auntieflo Mon 19-Aug-19 08:23:48

Good morning Michael, Annie to come, and all others.
It's dry here with a half hearted sun, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't rain, again, later.
NFK, love the sound of your campervan, I would have loved one, they give you so much freedom. Enjoy.
Sorry to hear about problems with your new car Brunette10, it's a worry, especially as you think a new car will be trouble free, and we shall soon have a new one
Gillybob, take it easy this week, are you listening?
I ordered a book that was delivered on Saturday, but it turned out to be one I had already, but with a different title, maddening, so off to the charity shop with it tomorrow,
Have a good day one and all.
Nothing much planned for today, so
