After loo rolls and pasta - the latest Covid-induced shortage is apparently of - Lamborghinis ??

Apparently people indulging in post-pandemic “revenge spending” have snapped up almost the entire year’s supply of Lamborghini cars.
Tired of having spent much of the last year cooped up at home, (some, not me) customers are buying high-end items as they emerge from lockdown.
Lamborghini announced it was set for “strong growth” this year, despite being forced to shut down for two months because of coronavirus.
The Italian supercar brand has sold 10 months’ worth of its annual supplies.
Form an orderly queue?

The waiting list for a new forklifts is 60 weeks .

Prices on second hand ones are rocketing. We paid £12k for one 4 years ago and sold it yesterday for £18k to a very happy farmer.

I’ve just ordered a very ordinary Ford Puma - delivery date will be around December! Due apparently to a world wide shortage of some component which is needed for all cars. Ford have been selling their stock of cars built before this shortage and now, like other makers, are only able to make a limited number each month.

It’s nice to know that even luxury cars are affected! Mind you, I deliberately chose an suv model as I’d never get out of a low sports car without a crane!

There is a worldwide shortage of electronic chips as technology advances so does the ever increasing need for chips .

At least I can get in and out of my camper van with dignity ☺️. I have to crawl out of my pink Lamborghini and slither along on my tummy until I find a post to hold on to and haul myself up ?.
