Does anyone knows what exactly does this mean. we have worked out children's maintenance rates but at a lose to assess how much or what percentage this could be. Couple unmarried, 3 young children, Mortgaged house.

Sorry if I’m being dense but I don’t understand the question.

If there is a mortgage and children involved you need to see a solicitor.

I agree with both Lucca and vampirequeen

They really need to meet with a solicitor.

One thing some families do is a practice called "nesting". In this arrangement, the parents move, not the children. Usually the parents will rent a small home, such as a one bedroom or bachelor flat, and take turns living with the children and living in the flat.

Agree with lucca and vampirequeen

I really like the concept of nesting

Let’s assume

The couple are unmarried, they have split up and the house is mortgaged.

The parent (mother) will be able to stay in the house for a period, hopefully until they find a permanent new home. Ultimately LA social housing will find suitable accommodation if there is no cash to either continue the mortgage or pay for private rented.

Sit tight until a court order is made LA will not act until then.

I'm sorry but I am clueless in terms of what this has to do with estrangement?

Chewbacca Thu 22-Oct-20 22:37:23

As were we all Thistle and as Foufou didn't come back to explain, I doubt we'll ever know.

Does anyone knows what exactly does this mean

Sorry, but I haven't a clue.
