Good morning, everyone.
A dull, grey morning after very heavy rain through the night which started at about 7pm last night. The grass looks nice and lush, though!
I admire you busy GN's who are up and out shopping before I've even thought about it! I must admit, I'm feeling a bit lazy this morning though.
Well done, Nana3 for such a good score for your jam - I'll have some on a piece of toast, please ?. Sorry about your Mum, it is so difficult for you. ?
Hope that parcel comes today, harrigran, it's so annoying having to wait around, isn't it?
Hope today is a good one for everyone.

Morning all!

Just back from the weekly supermarket trip and enjoying my weekly treat of a fresh-baked crusty roll with butter and honey. It looks like a better day than yesterday turned out to be when we had heavy and unremitting rain from 5pm onwards.

Highlight of today's agenda is cutting DH's hair and taking DGD back to school ready for her to show prospective parents and children round at open evening. As a prefect that is one of the duties apparently. She's got the gift of the gab so will do a good job I am sure! grin

Hope the day is a happy one for everybody. sunshine

Good morning, clear blue sky in Lancashire this morning. Thanks Mick for the list of venues for Cilla.
Might take a walk before going to see Mum. What is keeping her going? No food, tiny bit of drink for more than a month. She whispered " I want to go home " to me yesterday.
Nice surprise at WI show, I got 19 1/2 out of 20 for my jam.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Michael, and all GNs. Dreary this morning in South Yorkshire - can't see the fields for murk! We have nothing much planned today except that we are picking GS up from school this afternoon. We don't have to these days, but it's just a chance to spend a little time with him, and he seems to like it. Lucky I miss sewing GS's badges on - no-one in his house knew how a needle worked either! Have a good day, folks.

(I was a dinner lady Maryellin. Loved it, but hated wet days as we had to cope with three classes in one room with little for them to do. The teachers told me off once for re-enacting The Three Little Pigs. We were making too much noise and interrupting their lunch break. Too much huffing and puffing!)

harrigran Thu 28-Sep-17 07:54:22

Good morning, grey and wet here. I haven't been out of the house this week as we are waiting for a parcel which was going to be delivered on Tuesday.

Morning All

The rain has reached Norfolk. Very mizzly now so perhaps its passing. DGdog will have to wait for his walk. DH has a hospital appointment this afternoon for more checks. It's a pity they can't all be done at the same time!

Grey start to the day here in Cheshire, but forecast is good ....l always watch the weather, as a Dinner Lady it's always nice to know, the children are lovely but so much better playing in the fresh air

Good Morning All
I am going away tomorrow and I am urgent need of ordinary socks.
The ones M & S have been selling in their outlet shops have gone into holes very quickly and they all need to go in the bin.
I am now off to drive six miles to our nearest Morrisons before the traffic builds up and stop off at Wilko's on the way back. What a thrilling day I have .

Good morning all you busy people!

Mild here and think it will be sunny. Grass like a sponge.

Marydoll I'm intrigued what an adventure on the bus could be!

Nothing really planned today except usual things. Will see how the day takes me.

Hope everybody has a good day.

Good morning from a grey damp Colchester. The overnight rain has stopped. Still warm though.
Lunch with DD1 today but no other plans. I'm exhausted just looking at your diary kitty.

Luckygirl Thu 28-Sep-17 07:16:16

You are all such busy people and I wish you well for today.

I was awake at 5 mulling over a few challenges in my life - so gave in and got up and have had a very early breakfast.

Off to the hospital with OH - again! - we seem to live there. Then a school governor meeting later on.

And then I will sew the badges on my GS's cub uniform as no-one in that house seems to possess the necessary skills. I did venture to suggest perhaps he should work towards his Sewing Badge!!

Marydoll Thu 28-Sep-17 07:09:00

Good morning Mick and Kitty and anyone else who manages to post before I finish.
Grey here this morning, with very heavy rain overnight.
Heard that a young man whom I taught was found dead yesterday, he was such a troubled soul. I'm so sad for his family.
Off out on a train adventure with DGG and SIL to Glasgow. That should be an experience. On the last occasion we had an "adventure", we caused havoc on the bus.
Have a good day all.

I forgot, I have to fit Sainsbury's in too!!

kittylester Thu 28-Sep-17 06:48:16

Morning Mick, morning all.

It's still darkish in North Leicestershire but I think there is rain in the forecast.

Up early this morning as DH has a gp appointment at 8.45 and a hair appointment at 9.30 and I'm taking our cleaner to do her regular 'bottoming' of DS1's flat, going to Sainsbury's and then fir lunch with DD1 while DH has lunch with DD3! Then we are going to see DS2 as it's his birthday! I'm exhausted thinking about it!

But, I'm glad we are able to do it as we heard that the husband of an old friend died on Tuesday morning. He was 66! sad

Its twilight but its grey and wet here in Brackley this morning.
