Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry and cold and no doubt frosty /icy outside here in Brackley this morning, see what the day brings as to weather situ.
Mick

Morning Mick and All.

Dark, cold and clear skies here in the Thames Valley.

Woken early as I need to go to Keep Fit this morning where one of our members, a keen photographer, is taking a photo of our feet in bright coloured socks. It must be for some competition. ?

Morning Mick, morning Kate, morning all.

It's flipping perishing in North Leicestershire but I don't have to go out at all.

I can lend you socks with miniature schnauzers on Kate!

NanKate Mon 05-Feb-18 07:02:40

They sound fun Kitty I am wearing black socks with bright pink shapes on them today.

NfkDumpling Mon 05-Feb-18 07:20:52

Morning All

No socks on at all here - just fluffly slippers. At first read I thought you meant socks being worn by miniature schnauzers Kitty!

Last night the forecast was for snow in Norfolk but we've only got the lightest powdering. Looks more like frost. I wonder who got our share.

Nothing on the calendar for today, so I may sort out and back up all the stuff on this laptop. I fear it's getting too senile and may have to be replaced.

Gagagran Mon 05-Feb-18 07:38:56

Morning Mick, Nfk Kitty and all who follow. It's very cold and frosty here on the south coast with a clear sky. It's is noticeably getting light earlier now - hurrah! Roll on spring!

The window cleaner is due this morning and the fencer should be back to finish off the new back fence. Other than that it's laundry and chores and keeping warm.

Hope the day is a good one for all GNs. sunshine

Morning everyone.

Rain in our half of Kent but it snowed in the other half the county last night. Forecast to maybe come our way.
I chatted to GC last night via Skype smilesmile the first time I've been able to speak to them in a year.

mollie Mon 05-Feb-18 07:48:27

Morning Mick and all

Freezing cold but bright here in West Norfolk. No snow yet so fingers crossed. I need to go out for a few things as my usual excellent planning has failed.

Keep warm everyone.

kittylester Mon 05-Feb-18 07:58:55

Brilliant. nina! Bet you have a huge grin today!

annsixty Mon 05-Feb-18 08:00:53

Good morning all.
Just popping in to say how thrilled I am for nina
I hope this is the start of a thaw by their father and you will soon be seeing them again.
Can't report on the weather, I am still in bed.

cornergran Mon 05-Feb-18 08:12:54

Morning All. Cold and bright, no frost, in our corner of Somerset. So pleased for you nina. Wishing everyone the best day possible. Stay warm and well.

Bellasnana Mon 05-Feb-18 08:18:23

Good morning from a rainy Malta.

I like the colourful socks idea, NanKate grin
Very happy for you nina. A year is an awfully long time to have been out of contact. Hope this is the start of better things to come. flowers

Nothing exciting on my agenda today. Shall visit my friend in hospital again, then later on I have an appointment at the clinic, where they have invited anyone who wants to go for a general check-up which will be repeated on a regular basis. It’s called ‘Lifestyle’ and doesn’t cost anything so thought I may as well go along.

Hope you all have a good day sunshine

Pittcity Mon 05-Feb-18 08:28:15

Good morning from snowy Colchester. A light dusting has settled overnight. No doubt this will cause widespread disruption.
MIL is in hospital with pneumonia, so our normal plans are on hold.

MawBroon Mon 05-Feb-18 08:30:16

Good morning everybody smile
I wouldn’t risk an unsolicited check-up bellasnana ??
Who knows what they might find?
I operate on the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” principle.
Other than that, have a lovely day everybody.
It is crisp and sunny here and I have nothing planned till this afternoon so perhaps I might get the lowdown on the 3 police cars and 2 breakdown trucks it apparently took to remove a (stolen ?) car from our street corner at 11 last night confused

Marydoll Mon 05-Feb-18 08:37:33

Good morning all,
Very frosty here in Glasgow. The sky is is a very ominous shade of grey and snow is forecast for us too.
Nina, that is great news.
I hope everyone's day goes well.

Anniebach Mon 05-Feb-18 08:44:31

Good morning all. No idea if the snow has arrived in Mid Wales, delaying looking outside

Greyduster Mon 05-Feb-18 08:46:58

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dull but dry in South Yorkshire. Don’t know what later will bring. I had a very sleepless night so I will be on my knees today. First day of DD’s new job so we will be going’s over to meet GS from school. Back in harness!?. Nina, so happy that you got to talk to your GC - it must have been very emotional! Happy socks, Kate! Have a good day, folks!

Tippy22 Mon 05-Feb-18 08:50:22

Good morning everyone from a very snowy East Sussex. Well that's me staying indoors all day if it continues. Enjoy your day everyone.

harrigran Mon 05-Feb-18 09:09:47

Good morning, cold but no snow here yet.
Woken by an ambulance arriving at neighbours followed closely by a second one. Neighbour has a defibrillator implanted.

Sar53 Mon 05-Feb-18 09:13:11

Good morning all from Essex by the sea. A light dusting of snow, looks pretty. I'm off to the hygienist this morning, can't wait !!!

TwiceAsNice Mon 05-Feb-18 09:26:00

Good morning everyone. Lovely news Nina. Light dusting of snow in Surrey but it is now very sunny and not actually snowing so hopefully it will melt soon. Have a lovely day

appygran Mon 05-Feb-18 10:02:31

Good morning everyone. Dry and bright in Chester but the forcast is not good. Out looking at new cars today, no idea what I am looking for though. Something large enough for grandchildren, camping gear and a dog, feels safe for motorway driving and looks stylish. Not sure if my son is the best person to look with as he can be very persuasive and I could end up with something sporty. Note to self, leave bank cards at home!
