Morning Mick and everyone!

Just heard thunder here on the south coast but we didn't have the forecast storms yesterday. Maybe today? It feels humid and heavy so a strong possibility.

Had a busy day yesterday with the family here and we all went for a curry last night. I had to have the mildest thing on the menu due to my stomach issues but it was very nice and no ill effects.

Today there are various family members doing a variety of physical events including cycling and a 17 mile walk. We are all meeting up for lunch at a pub though and I am the taxi driver for the non-participants. Just hope the weather is kind.

Enjoy your day everybody! sunshine

Good Morning to you all!

A muggy morning. Packing up in readiness to move on, again.

Hope you all have a good B.H.!

Good morning Mick and Gaga and all who follow.
Its cool and breezy in Glasgow this morning. We are having a family barbecue today as it is supposed to be warm. I'm beginning to wonder if the forecast is wrong, as our heating kicked in at 6am. confused.
Gaga, you will be busy today.smile
Have a good Sunday, everyone.

Good morning to you too, *ffinnochio

And a Good morning from West Wales.

Enjoyed a leisurely walk along our riverside in the afternoon yesterday, always a very calming place and it seems to revive our inner parts!

Indeed a very disturbing night, first the smoke alarm decided to go off half way through ...........three times it did this and what a piercing tone it has.............eventually we settled back down and awoke to an extremely heavy shower.............yet this morning the sun shines again!!
Life seems back to normal.

Seems rather quiet here as yet nevertheless wishing you all a very pleasant day...........and some sun sunshine would be nice!!!

Good morning Mick and everyone. Bright enough in Lancashire at the moment. DH is working today, I shall potter.
Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone . It’s a bright and breezy morning here on the NE coast . I’m off to yoga soon, then lots to do as I have the 3 grandchildren most of next week for half term . Tired thinking about it.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone .

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Lay in this morning after last night's spectacular storm. ⚡
DGS3's 2nd birthday party this afternoon. In the garden if the weather holds.

silverdarlings Sun 27-May-18 08:28:13

Morning all -before and after me-dull n dry here in South Lakes--Eco music in the Park later--might have a nosey+

kittylester Sun 27-May-18 08:30:39

Morning all!

It's very bright in North Leicestershire but we have thunderstorms in the forecast which is causing a big dilemma for dh - should he go to the cricket or stay at home and watch the IPL!

harrigran Sun 27-May-18 08:32:02

Good morning, mild and peaceful this morning.
Heard from family that they had arrived safely and are enjoying fabulous weather in Scotland. DS always says it is the best time to visit as the midges are not so prolific.
Quiet day for me with some reading in the garden.

Besstwishes Sun 27-May-18 08:33:41

Dull and cloudy here, no storms last night , although they were forecast. Went to a lovely birthday party last night, instead of drinking water I had some Champagne, now I know why I don’t drink!
Lazy day today though
Hope everyone has a good day.
Good luck with the moveffinocchio

Greyduster Sun 27-May-18 08:34:51

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Don’t think we had any thunder last night, but a news feed just flashed up on my iPad saying “mother of all thunderstorms caused 20,000 lightning strikes” so my sympathies to those that did get it. A sunny start in South Yorkshire. My son and DiL are coming for lunch. Hopefully we will get a walk later. Have a happy day, folks.

Mapleleaf Sun 27-May-18 09:02:10

Good morning, all.
A lovely morning again. No, I didn't hear any thunder either, greyduster. Perhaps we will get it tonight? Hope not, though!
Had a very busy and productive day in the garden yesterday. Hoping to enjoy it today. ?

NfkDumpling Sun 27-May-18 09:03:07

Morning All

And it looks like a lovely day outside here in Norwich and no storms for us last night. DD1 is camping in N Bucks and apparently had a humdinger last night - which DGD slept through! She didn’t say how wet they are.

Thank you so much for all your good wishes yesterday. They seem to have worked - drips are out, big bandage is off, canula is out and I can just about get out of bed and with a frame and a bit of foot sliding and cheating get to the loo unaided!! But that’s also with the help of the strong magic pills which I won’t get when I go home.

Have a good day All and I hope your move goes well finn

MawBroon Sun 27-May-18 09:11:58

Oh what a night!
It really was such a night!
Good morning all!
Massive thunderstorm between 2and 3 last night, waking poor Hattie who was panting -sure sign of fear - and not a happy hound so I sat up with her until after 3.
Wide awake by then of course, so I read until 5 (“That Woman” by Anne Sebba, about the Duchess of Windsor and the Abdication)
Don’t think I’ll be doing much today!

cornergran Sun 27-May-18 09:12:07

Morning All. Grey start in our corner of Somerset, rain overnight but fortunately no storms. Take it steady nfk, not too much cheating smile. A wait and see day today, nothing we have to do so see how the weather and energy goes. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

MawBroon Sun 27-May-18 09:13:32

Nfkdumpling they’re not at Emberton are they?

NfkDumpling Sun 27-May-18 09:15:18

No idea! Somewhere north of Aylesbury I think. Off to look up Emberton.

ninathenana Sun 27-May-18 09:20:14

A late good morning all.

We had a lightening storm in Kent but very little thunder and only a drizzle of rain last night. The sky was amazing.
H is doing his usual stint at the allotment and I'm chilling with the papers after lots of walking yesterday.
Have a good day GN's

NfkDumpling Sun 27-May-18 09:20:52

Aha. Emberton is nearer to where they live! Apparently they’re near Chipping Norton. West not north! I really have no idea of the geography around there. Foreign parts!

DanniRae Sun 27-May-18 09:25:20

Terrible thunder storm in the night here in South East London.......my husband slept in the spare room with the poor terrified dog. I have not spoken to him yet but I think I can hear him up and about up stairs. I slept ok!
Very grey here right now.......hope the rain keeps off so we can walk in the park later. No other plans........just chilling.
I wish you all a happy day smile

TerriBull Sun 27-May-18 09:25:38

Good morning. After a murky start, it turned out to be a beautiful day yesterday followed by night time thunder storms.

Today here in the south east it's a little bit muggy but the sunshine is seeping through. Grandchildren coming later for Sunday roast dinner, I'll be helping gd make her gluten free Yorkshire puds which she enjoys.

Enjoy your day everybody.
