Ideas for kitchen wall tiles

I shall be having a new kitchen installed soon and there are so many wall tiles to choose from. The cupboards are porcelain colour with wood laminate worktops. Built in oven and hob, stainless steel and black. Freestanding stainless steel (maybe) fridge freezer.Would be grateful for peoples ideas!

How about wallpaper? Washable? Or covered with a clear Perspex.? There are some amazing ideas on I love wallpaper

Dislike tiles so when kitchen revamped replaced with glass splashback.

Flashbacks are wonderful and come in wonderful designs oura is lemons on a black background!

I have ordered a new kitchen and I am having splasbacks all round. I think they look sleek and cleaner.

Thank you to everyone who has written in reply. I am having an induction hob and the company doing the kitchen are supplying a black splash back. I will see how I feel about rest of walls after kitchen finished.
I can tell the lady wanting a New England kitchen that she has done it! I have family there!
