I have just paid all of my council tax for the 2013 to 2014 year.
It did however come from my London paid pension however.

We pay ours on direct debit just incase we pop our cloggs,I would hate the idea of the Council having some of my money they where not entitled to.grin

glammanana Your executor would claim a refund of any overpayment following your demise. However, council tax is usually still payable by the estate on an empty house until it is sold or rented out.

absent thanks.

Btw glammanana I hope the aforementioned demise is decades away. smile

Sigh..... [yawn emoticon]

Does it matter one iota where you get your pension from? If occupational, from your ex-employers, if state - HMG or whoever. Does anybody else check the provenance of that monthly credit to the bank? Or is your pension somehow different Frank - perhaps it is paid in some obscure London-based currency?
I am at a loss here. confused

galen grin

Frank so...?

gillybob Fri 08-Mar-13 08:53:43

Oh dear how many threads is this that you have started Frank? Why do they always involve money in one way or another? So you pay your council tax up front. You are lucky you can afford to but guess what? Nobody cares. I hope your council have invested it wisely though. Just think of the interest you are losing by not giving it to them a bit at a time. You really didn't think that one out Frank.

What's the exchange rate between £London and £Birmingham then?

Galen Fri 08-Mar-13 09:39:39

About half a kicker!

gracesmum Fri 08-Mar-13 21:02:40

Or is that a knicker?

Galen Fri 08-Mar-13 21:15:27

Could be?grin

Is there a point to the opening post or is it just the result of a desperate desire to post somethinganything? It's about as interesting as saying I took my shoes off before I went to bed last night but they were made by Jimmy Choo.

Orca Sat 09-Mar-13 07:55:05

Wow Absent I'm seeing you in a totally different light.

absent Sat 09-Mar-13 08:11:47

Orca Oh, I'm full of surprises. grin

glammanana Sat 09-Mar-13 09:17:20

absent envy Jimmy Choo's too narrow for my plates grin

glammanana Sat 09-Mar-13 09:18:26

wonder why my envy didn't work then ^

annodomini Sat 09-Mar-13 09:46:04

No, absent, if a sentence has 'Jimmy Choo' in it, it's automatically more interesting that one that contains the words 'council tax'.
