Hi there, I'm new to the Yeadon/Guiseley area of West Yorkshire, ( as new grandparents we relocated to be near to our Grandchildren). Are there any other members of Gransnet nearby who would be interested in a meet up or any suggestions of other support groups?

Hi everyone.
I live in Malvern in Worcestershire and I'm looking to meet new friends.
Anyone else in the area who would like to meet?

Hi I would like to meet Grans for coffee lunch southend on sea area.

Why not start a new meet-up thread with the name of your area in the title - not just "meet-up". Then people from the same area will see it and recognise it, and will be more likely to answer you and get something fixed up.

Happy and healthy year 2020.
I am in southend on sea I would like to make new friends meet up for coffee, lunch.

Jan Go to this page www.gransnet.com/forums/meet_ups_where_are_you and do "Start a new thread" but put in the title line that you are in Southend etc, as well as in the thread message itself. That will show your location in the list of thread titles, as well as in your message

The message itself with the location in it can't be seen until people actually select your thread from the list. It is a catch 22 - they can't tell where you are until they select it, and they don't select it because they don't know that you are near them.

I do wish that Gransnet HQ would automatically tell all new members about things like this. It isn't obvious.

Welcome all, please read what Elegran has to say- you are more likely to meet people for coffee etc. that way.

This thread was started seven years ago!

How do people dig it up? hmm
