Maybe this should be under House and Home! grin

£100,000?? to rent it? shock

It's bigger than their flippin' house.

After her stealing the show with her sexy bridesmaid's dress at her sister's wedding I'm looking forward to seeing what her wedding dress will be like wink

(Not that I intend to go hunting for a picture of it. I'm not that interested)

radicalnan Wed 17-May-17 11:07:08

Common and vulgar but the telly will be full of it.

No ne has any taste at all now, unless we count bad taste.

Lilyflower Wed 17-May-17 11:12:24

Well, it woudn't be my choice but it's their money. To those who are saying the cost is 'an obscene waste' you need to remember that the price of the wedding is making revenue for countless companies and individuals and all will pay tax on it so the money-go-round which pays for our social benefits will be well oiled. Better that than the cash sit in an account doing nothing.

MaizieD Wed 17-May-17 11:12:50

Ah, but I don't watch the telly. And I doubt if the Guardian will cover it...

Irenelily Wed 17-May-17 11:17:56

Thinking along the same lines as Jalima1108 - gardening - looks like a giant greenhouse to me - would fit in at Kew Gardens! Still as several folk have said - their money to waste - hope they've got enough for blinds, or else it will get very hot!

annsixty Wed 17-May-17 11:21:13

I shall be glad when it is over as even the DT has led in its banner header with "the wedding" . Short of not reading the paper at all it is impossible to escape.

minxie Wed 17-May-17 11:29:17

I can't believe how the papers esp the Daily Mail harp on about this non entity wedding

rosesarered Wed 17-May-17 11:29:30

I just hope nobody inside will throw stones wink

MaizieD Wed 17-May-17 11:33:07

Oh, come on, minxie it's exactly the sort of thing the Daily Mail would harp on about...

Rosina Wed 17-May-17 11:39:57

Thanks for posting this - it's amazing! (And not in a good way) I sincerely hope that there are going to be many, many opening panes, good air conditioning and not too many guests per square yard; the bride will not look good with a glistening bright red face.
It reminds me in its unwise choice of material of the gruesome entrance pyramid at the Louvre, which has made queuing down the stairs for tickets a nightmare on hot days and turned the lower entrance hall into a sweat box. I do hope it doesn't ruin the wedding; only for the reason than that they are a young couple starting out together and deserve a happy day.

The blithering idiot architect who designed our new bus station won an award for his efforts. It's 90% glass - we swelter in Summer and freeze in Winter. It's pretty obvious the architect and those who love its clean lines have never had the joy of waiting 40 minutes for a bus.

Megs36 Wed 17-May-17 12:20:18

I know everyone will be jumping up and down when I say this but after reading all these comments I can't help feeling there is a lot of envy (jealousy) involved here, live and let live and enjoy what we've got please, sad or what.

Craicon Wed 17-May-17 12:38:52

Wish you'd mentioned it was a daily mail link. I don't want to support those greedy bastards, thanks.

Charleygirl Wed 17-May-17 12:49:46

Megs36 there is no envy on my part, I prefer the simple things in life. If that is what she wants, fine and as somebody said, it is providing employment for many. I would like to have a glimpse of her wedding dress, end of.

lizzypopbottle Wed 17-May-17 13:38:23

It's ugly on an industrial scale but that's from the outside. It'll be made sumptuous on the inside, I dare say, and the people in there will have other things to worry about, especially if the sun shines. All the indoor photos will have everyone wearing sunglasses or squinting!

I thought Pippa Middleton looked pretty and feminine at the royal wedding six years ago but these days she's looking rather drawn and thin in some of the less flattering media photos. I suppose in these days of radical feminism, it doesn't matter what you look like. Her pursuit of extreme physical activity is bound to have an effect on her looks and it must be tiresome to be watched constantly. I count myself lucky that I don't feel the need to dress for public scrutiny.

lizzypopbottle Wed 17-May-17 13:41:55

Probably just as well.... ?

whitewave Wed 17-May-17 13:46:26

Not the most tasteful thing I've ever seen, but perhaps the photo doesn't do it justice.

Teddy123 Wed 17-May-17 13:56:45

The bride has, according to the newspapers, has joined a 'leg' gym, subscription, wait for it ..............
£50,000.

Personally and I swear I'm not being bitchy, I think she's a plain young woman with a horsey face. I really couldn't understand the furore over her bottom ...... Looked normal.

I wonder if the wedding pics will be sold to OK magazine.

Teddy123 Wed 17-May-17 13:58:52

Ps I thought the orangery was very pretty and guess it will be decked out with a lot of fabric to keep the sun out.

Gemmag Wed 17-May-17 14:20:15

Such a lot of envy. She's not counting the pennies and why should she!.
I hope she and all her guests have a lovely day.
I look forward to seeing some nice photos in the DT next week.

merlotgran Wed 17-May-17 14:22:06

Do NOT click on this link if a mere mention of the DM gives you a fit of the vapours!

Clock the Portaloos grin

VIOLETTE Wed 17-May-17 14:28:25

Ha ha ! could be a paragraph straight from Pippa M's party book for Waitrose ....'If you are planning a wedding, make sure you have the most eye wateringly expensive venue you can afford ,,,and Waitrose do a nice line in cakes and sandwiches' ....or as Dolly Parton famously said ' It takes a whole lotta money to look this cheap ......'

Just think its funny ..and nobody else's business really ! smile

Gaggi3 Wed 17-May-17 14:29:06

Fine if you like eating in a greenhouse, and being very warm. I wonder if everyone will be taller after the event.

Persistentdonor Wed 17-May-17 15:56:31

They can afford it so why not? Good luck to them. At that cost I expect the glass is polarised to keep out glare. Good luck to them.

However, seems to me they would not miss a bit extra on their tax bill!

hazel311259 Wed 17-May-17 16:39:46

Don't think that cost comes into it how much money have the royal family generated for UK economy makes us special!
