My prediction( not hope) is for TM to have about a 40/50 overall majority. I reserve the right to change this prediction up to the announcement of the exit poll. Anybody else have a prediction?

It gets worse.

Oh yes I forgot the scandal - its massive isn't it?

durhamjen Fri 09-Jun-17 15:09:06

Jane Hartley-Jacques writes: “DUP are anti-LGBT, anti-abortion, anti-women’s rights, climate change deniers, and evolution deniers with many believing in creation teaching. Its leader is linked to a financial scandal with on-going investigation. More evidence of strong and stable Treesa.”

What was that about coalition of chaos?
Good luck with that, Mayhem.

And there will inevitably another election and yet more of our money and that with the economy tanking and Brexit looming

Ginny42 Fri 09-Jun-17 12:20:48

Sorry, meant to post last post on the results thread. I'm blaming lack of sleep!

Ginny42 Fri 09-Jun-17 12:18:18

So May is clinging onto power with the DUP and it cost us £130M for this nonsense. She had a lead in the polls, mostly had the media on her side. It should have been a landslide.

So now the Tories are in a worse position than when they started, which can only lead to weak government. They only need a few back benchers to rebel, together with Labour plus a few others and they will struggle to get anything passed. Europe is watching this debacle and she didn't even need to have called an election.

BTW. All parties are taking that approach to diesel powered vehicles, based on recent reports of diesel droplets in the air we breathe.

' Pound falls after UK exit poll shows hung parliament '

Jalima1108 Thu 08-Jun-17 23:55:52

? meteorological sense of the word.

Jalima1108 Thu 08-Jun-17 23:54:55

Even if I stay up it won't change the result so I may as well go to bed and read my book. They are all waffling on the telly.

Not rain again phoenix - and cold? It's flaming June! (flaming being in the

phoenix Thu 08-Jun-17 23:51:19

Sorry, brain overworked, giving up and going to bed!

Jalima1108 Thu 08-Jun-17 23:49:29

Exit poll, hung parliament!!!!!
Far be it from me to say 'told you so' but ..... wink

But that's just an exit poll, things could change dramatically.

Chewbacca Thu 08-Jun-17 23:43:13

grin

OK. Clue: there are a lot of them around, not just on GN, but probably slightly less than 50% of all voters.

phoenix Thu 08-Jun-17 23:40:28

Can I have P please Bob? Oh sorry, wrong game.

D....... , can I have a clue, please?

Chewbacca Thu 08-Jun-17 23:35:30

Not keen on olives anyway phoenix so no problem. wouldn't have minded a nut though. I spy with my little eye something beginning with D.

phoenix Thu 08-Jun-17 23:31:18

Oh, just us left then, Chewbacca , fancy a glass of wine and a game of "I Spy"? Sorry, but I've eaten all the nuts and olives.blush

Chewbacca Thu 08-Jun-17 22:42:57

I've seen much worse transgressions on here tonight than flippancy phoenix .

phoenix Thu 08-Jun-17 22:37:42

Hmm, you could be right there, Chewbacca the bum first option is often preferred, possibly due to the tongue cleaning opportunities offered by then going for the leg.

I would take you up on a small wager, but validating the result could be tricky.

May well be better to have a bit of an odds on as to how soon we get a right good ticking off for having a laugh being flippant.

Chewbacca Thu 08-Jun-17 22:30:27

Not sure that I can agree with you there phoenix. I think that Larry the cat will wash his bum first, not the inside of his left leg. Shall we put a bet on it?

GracesGranMK2 Thu 08-Jun-17 22:26:49

I have started a "The result" thread in an attempt to keep us all together - if you it is useful to you.

minesaprosecco Thu 08-Jun-17 22:20:01

Yada, Yada, phoenix

phoenix Thu 08-Jun-17 22:17:27

My prediction is that tomorrow will be mainly rain, DFS will have yet another sale on, Cliff Richard will decide against having one more go at a Christmas number one, and that Larry, the number 10 cat will wash the inside of his left back leg before the right one.

It might also prove to be a difficult day for those born under the sign of Capricorn, who may find that a stranger is in front of them in a queue.

Could be wrong, often am.

durhamjen Thu 08-Jun-17 22:15:21

Amber Rudd might be in trouble in Hastings.

durhamjen Thu 08-Jun-17 22:13:13

Senior Tories don't believe it.
