The Lindo Wing have put up no parking signs 9th to 30th April. Barriers have been set up.

I do hope it's an uncomplicated and quick birth. Not days of news showing the doors into the wing, and interviews with excited royalists .

I forgot I had started this thread and just started a second, old age or too much Sun ?

Grandma70s Mon 23-Apr-18 09:12:36

I’m very interested in what name the child will be given, especially if it’s a girl.

Smileless2012 Mon 23-Apr-18 09:17:52

Too late Annie, I posted on your other thread before I realised this was one was already on the go. Methinks you're not the only one suffering from old agegrin.

glammanana Mon 23-Apr-18 09:20:19

Grandma70s I'm thinking of
Victoria or Alice what do you think.
AnnieI forgot about this thread I've posted on both hmm

Pittcity Mon 23-Apr-18 09:26:59

She'd better get on with it and knock Brexit off the top BBC headline spot!

I've been on permanent standby for a call from my own pregnant daughter for the past week and am ready to dash off as soon as the call comes. My other grandchildren have all been early babies, but this one's due date is on Friday so she's taking it to the wire. The Wonderful Man is working away today so we have a complex plan for me to meet him part-way via train (her hospital is an hour away from both her and me), then he will drive me to the hospital before going to collect the grandchildren from school.

Anniebach Mon 23-Apr-18 10:09:23

Bets on the other thread for sex and name ?

grannyactivist Mon 23-Apr-18 12:10:12

My daughter is hoping the new HRH is not going to be called Bertie, as that's the diminutive of her next baby's chosen name. (Not Albert though.)

nigglynellie Mon 23-Apr-18 12:15:02

Good luck to your DD too ga, I hope all goes we for her and her baby. Bertie is a good name!

Yes me too grannyactivist I even stopped myself from having a well deserved glass of wine on Saturday night as she said she's had twinges all day. My DD's partner is not allowed a mobile phone at work and he does very long shifts too so not sure how that's going to fit into our plans.

Still, the royals in their £7k+ per night private wing, don't have to consider such things though.

kittylester Mon 23-Apr-18 12:17:05

We've got a Bertie too, ga!

Hope all goes well.

Granny23 Mon 23-Apr-18 12:48:09

I can't imagine how horrible it must be to have half the world knowing you are in Labour and hoping you hurry up. It reminds me of the days when Queens had to labour with the Court watching to ensure that the baby did in fact arrive via the royal personage and was not substituted by an imposter.

Jalima1108 Mon 23-Apr-18 21:12:57

I would not wish this on my daughters!!

pollyperkins Mon 30-Apr-18 08:27:34

Let us know when your DDs baby arrives Gillybob. Hope all goes well.

kittylester Mon 30-Apr-18 08:30:28

gilly and ga are both at (or going to) the hospital and are posting updates on the 'in other baby news' thread.

pollyperkins Tue 01-May-18 18:17:39

Oh thanks kitty -I had no idea. Just been to look and see both babies have now arrived safely. I'm so pleased.
