John Thomas, Chairman of Leicester East Labour Party has resigned stating the above. Suggested Corbyn was doing the hokey-cokey (in, Out, etc) and they’ve had his mate foisted upon them as new candidate.

MaizieD Tue 19-Nov-19 17:58:25

Good God. I thought this was a thread about Johnson...

jura2 Tue 19-Nov-19 18:00:00

Same here ...

Charleygirl5 Tue 19-Nov-19 18:02:10

Yet another

Pantglas2 Tue 19-Nov-19 18:06:42

That’s actually my point folks.....that one clown is much the same as another!

Sussexborn Tue 19-Nov-19 18:12:21

I assumed it was more Boris Bashing too! Perhaps the Palace of Westminster could be converted to a Big Top. I am sure that taxpayers would consider it money well spent!

lemongrove Tue 19-Nov-19 18:29:05

I’m with John Thomas on this one ?....although he does have an unfortunate name.
Corbyn’s dithering/ fence sitting is legendary and will hurt the LP at the ballot box.

M0nica Tue 19-Nov-19 18:31:26

I think Pantglas was very brave to do this. GN does often read as if it is online church designed for Corbyn worshippers.

lemongrove Tue 19-Nov-19 18:35:43

?
I sometimes slip into one of the pews at the back and throw an egg.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 19-Nov-19 18:42:10

I can think of many descriptions of Corbyn but "clown" does seem to be owned by Johnson - along with buffoon.

I imagine John Thomas is joining the Great Johnson lemongrove and their names seem to sum up the latter at least.

M0nica please, you are more intelligent than that. Who, on GN, has ever shown any sign of "worshipping" another human being currently alive. Now being taken for a fool by the Liar Johnson ... that's another story.

Pantglas2 Tue 19-Nov-19 18:51:12

Thank you Monica - brave/foolish?

It shows that both main parties have their dissenters within and we the voters can also think they’re clowns and be in good company!

lemongrove Tue 19-Nov-19 18:52:49

Somebody has had a humour bypass op. Quick! Call another surgeon!

lemongrove Tue 19-Nov-19 18:53:35

Absolutely Pantglas ??

Cherrytree59 Tue 19-Nov-19 19:16:12

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right.
Here I an stuck in the middle.....hmm

lemongrove Tue 19-Nov-19 19:22:53

Then you must be a Lib Dem Cherry ?

Cherrytree59 Tue 19-Nov-19 19:32:08

Nope Lemon, these days
The Monster Raving Loonie Party would seems to the sensible choice ?

Greeneyedgirl Tue 19-Nov-19 19:33:04

I don't believe that Corbyn is a clown, despite the mainstream media attempting to portray him as such at every opportunity.

I think he is sincere and more honourable than many of the other politicians on offer. The Labour Party will definitely have my vote at the election.

A further period of Tory rule fills me with despair in particular for the elderly and vulnerable in our society.

Urmstongran Tue 19-Nov-19 19:35:41

The Tories vacillate between calling Corbyn a joke/useless or warning he’s highly dangerous – difficult to be both…”

Looking forward to watching the debate on ITV in half an hour!

John McDonnell giving a teaser on what to expect from the Labour leader tonight: "What Jeremy will be doing, as he always does in these debates, is explaining on the policies that we're advocating, highlighting the issues we face as a country, and then developing the ideas we have over recent years about how we can tackle these issues."

The fuss Boris Johnson avoided by agreeing to face the Labour leader suggests he is quietly confident that he can handle himself in their televised face-off.

We will see how it goes. Boris is so far ahead in the polls, it’s his to lose tonight.

varian Tue 19-Nov-19 19:40:25

So why are two leaver clowns being allowed to debate each other on tv tonight with no representative of the 50 million UK citizens who never voted for this brexit nonsense?????:

trisher Tue 19-Nov-19 19:56:54

Varian how can there be 50 mil unrepresented?, some of that 50 mill think another referendum is the only way forward as the LP has promised. So a disgruntled member of the LP has resigned because the committee he chaired didn't choose the person he wanted as a candidate. It's not exactly earth shattering is it? Just democracy in action.

grapefruitpip Tue 19-Nov-19 20:00:56

brave?

where are these worshippers?

trisher Tue 19-Nov-19 20:16:07

So Corbyn supporters are "worshippers" what does that make Johnson supporters ???? (idiots???)

varian Tue 19-Nov-19 20:17:22

50 million UK citizens never voted for this brexit nonsense.

The LibDems voted 17 times for a second referendum and still support that but if (and I do know it is probably unlikely) this GE results in a LibDem majority government then this brexcit nonsense will be stopped on day one.

If that does not happen then the LibDems will continue to do everything possible to stop brexit, which means supporting a second referendum and campaigning unambiguously for REMAIN.

Oopsminty Tue 19-Nov-19 20:21:33

Yes trisher. Idiots. If you say so.

Why are the left so rude?

varian Tue 19-Nov-19 20:23:59

Extremists do tend to be quite rude about the opposite extreme.
