My apologies Sparkle - it took a long time to load for some reason so I scrolled past the first time. I’ve just tried again and it did open after a while - and oh my goodness It confirmed everything we knew was true but on a public train and mentioning the names of two of the women?? What does this mean for both of them, I wonder?

Whoa! I can only read the first part of your link, Sparklefizz but that was enough to get the gist of the thing.

I agree with everyone on here, except for grandad. Some very good posts from everyone. I’m pleased that others seem to feel like I do. I’m a bit worried to post more about what I think on here, it would probably be seen as illegal so I won’t say outright what I think.

Jane’s earlier post is right - he’ll probably get away with it from a legal point of view but we can certainly hope he never works in politics (or ideally anywhere) again.

It is. It seems that little has changed from the 1960s. I was assaulted several times and sexually harassed in the office by senior male colleagues when I first started work in the mid 60s, and also on the commuter train to and from work.

It never even occurred to me to report it as many of my friends had the same and we just accepted it as being part of "a woman's lot". How brainwashed were we????

This story won't go away although it's a pity it is overshadowed by the Coronavirus situation. There is more to come on this.
