Did you manage to get through to your bank? This sounds like a scam in itself ?

I once had to contact the immigration service when 14 year old nephew had a problem on arrival at the airport coming from US on his own. The only way I could speak to a real person was to press “5” for “voluntary repatriation”!

It seems the best way to deal with these phone lines is to choose the least popular option.

Just think, they're ploughing ahead with driverless cars.
Let's hope the robotic cars are more effective than your telephone calls were!!grin

We have all had infuriating attempts to speak to a person when dealing with different organisations.
Today it was a county council whom it seems does not answer the phone on Wednesday afternoons!

Yesterday I just wanted to speak to someone at my bank as they had messaged me about potential fraud, nobody was available to take my call.

Today though the prize goes to the passport office.... my daughter spent ages going around in circles with a robot, eventually she went for the option for people wanting to alter their gender, it was the only way she could speak to a real person regarding her query.

She thinks that “Steve” was very disappointed that she was happy as a woman and just wanted to know if Liverpool would issue a passport for a baby.
