I'd feel exactly the same about any evangelistic postings of any religion.

Go ahead and paste your biblical verses Jingle then get your hard hat on in readiness for the onslaught, cos that's what's gonna happen!! grin grin

Seriously, though, I think we can distinguish between someone's genuine wish to share their philosophy with us, as a Gransnetter, and someone dropping in from who knows where to impose something without saying a little about why they chose to post it.

Is it only the Christian religion allowed on here?

Bags had better watch it!

I don't understand what it was advertising. Or propaganda-ing. (propagating? confused)

If I copied and pasted a few verses out of the bible on here, would it get deleted? Would I be propagating God? [shrug]

AlieOxon Mon 18-Jun-12 08:32:55

Unless it was, of course, the original poster.

AlieOxon Mon 18-Jun-12 08:29:06

I know what they deleted - think the main complaint was about the original post, and they just decided to delete both sides...

jeni Mon 18-Jun-12 08:16:24

So've I oxon someone complained about us!

AlieOxon Mon 18-Jun-12 05:32:02

Whoops - I got deleted. Sorry, I just get angry about pop-up ads....

j04 Sun 17-Jun-12 23:16:10

Shame. Definitely had legs.

Anagram Sun 17-Jun-12 23:07:22

Propaganda, probably, jingl.

glassortwo Sun 17-Jun-12 23:04:14

What have you lot been up to grin

j04 Sun 17-Jun-12 22:39:55

Where has the thread about waves under the sea gone? Have they deleted it?

Why? confused

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 21:43:53

Quite!

Anagram Sun 17-Jun-12 21:39:25

Well, the original message has been deleted.

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 21:34:03

grin will be interesting to see if GNHQ delete this or not?

AlieOxon Sun 17-Jun-12 21:18:10

Pity the original poster won't know the parable of the scattering of the seed...definitely rocky ground here....

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 21:01:09

I am disappointed I can't see the tunnel of Hezekiah!sad

My aunt had that book and I read some of it when I was visiting her. Of course there is a good historical basis to OT stories, though not Adam and Eve...and the serpent.

jeni Sun 17-Jun-12 20:55:38

I've still got it! A fascinating book! It was got me hooked on archaeology, and why I am dragging maniac kicking and screaming to the Holy Land in septembergrin

AlieOxon Sun 17-Jun-12 20:43:38

My parents had a book - 'The Bible as History' - now that was much more interesting.

Annobel Sun 17-Jun-12 20:40:45

Albeit I'm now a Humanist, even when I was a member of the Church of Scotland I never believed in the literal truth of the Bible.

Just thinking what a remarkably eclectic selection of threads we have tonight - and most nights: from knickers to the Q'ran.

What have you got to say on the 'Knickers' thread, then?
