I'd love it if Prince Andrew went to America to face the music, because I'd love to have someone as famous as he showing a moral lead Tell the truth and shame the devil.

Ilovecheese Tue 28-Jan-20 17:30:48

Yes, he should be showing leadership and setting a good example. How else can we justify having any respect for him or his family?

Anniebach Tue 28-Jan-20 17:54:10

Is his family to be blamed ? Would you take responsibility for
your siblings ?

Ilovecheese Tue 28-Jan-20 17:58:37

It is the institution that he represents
If we are supposed to respect a person because of the family that they are born into then any members conduct is a reflection of the whole institution.

So are you saying that each & everyone one of us should be pilloried & held to account if one member of our family is guilty of misdemeanours or a criminal offence ?

Jane10 Tue 28-Jan-20 18:26:06

Will the American woman who ran over that young man come over to face trial here?

suziewoozie Tue 28-Jan-20 18:31:42

Well his mother certainly bears some responsibility in all this - if she wanted, she could certainly make sure that he was interviewed. They are not a normal family and they are not any mother and son. She’s the Queen and he’s a Prince - of course he should show a moral lead and she should damn well make him.

FWIW I think it would be quite acceptable for the relevant authorities to come over here to interview him. Regardless of who he did and didn’t have grubby sex with, he is certainly witness to potentially illegal behaviour and should bear witness. After all we all know he’s a Christian don’t we?

suziewoozie Tue 28-Jan-20 18:32:57

It’s not about him facing trial ffs it’s about his providing a witness statement.

Alexa Tue 28-Jan-20 18:35:07

Please, I mean I'd like it if Prince Andrew did this brave thing, whether or not his family approve.

suziewoozie Tue 28-Jan-20 18:37:59

He won’t

Alexa Tue 28-Jan-20 18:38:22

There are all sorts of Christians as we know, Susiewoosie. It would also be great if Prince Andrew proclaimed "I am doing the courageous and honourable thing because I am a Christian."

Alexa Tue 28-Jan-20 18:39:54

Susiewoosie, I am writing a fable here as I well know smile

suziewoozie Tue 28-Jan-20 18:40:16

He has, at the very least, casual sex with girls young enough to be his daughters and was BFF with a convicted paedeophile . He is a sleaze bag of the first order

suziewoozie Tue 28-Jan-20 18:40:50

Alexa ?????

Alexa Tue 28-Jan-20 18:45:07

Where did u get that emoticon I did not seeit on the Gnet list?

suziewoozie Tue 28-Jan-20 18:47:01

From my iPad ???????????

Alexa Tue 28-Jan-20 18:50:24

Oh. I had better find out if my computer can do that too

Pantglas2 Tue 28-Jan-20 22:43:25

As Jane10 stated, when the American woman who caused the death of the young English boy returns to give a statement is when Duke of York goes to America to do the same!

crazyH Tue 28-Jan-20 22:48:57

Shame on Prince Andrew and shame on the Queen ?

Chestnut Tue 28-Jan-20 23:10:37

Alexa - I found the emojis on my computer by accident. When you're writing a message right click and you get a menu with emojis in it. ? There are hundreds of them!

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 07:48:19

It’s ridiculous to talk about a ‘swop’ with AS. They are both serious but very different issues and you don’t let either off them off then hook just because they are both morally bankrupt individuals without a shred of empathy or human decency. They both have agency as individuals. What a thoroughly ridiculous suggestion.

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 07:49:30

Still it’s a typical defection technique and means you don’t have to criticise our sainted RF

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 07:49:49

Or deflection even

Mollygo Wed 29-Jan-20 08:03:48

Ilovecheese, to a certain extent we all represent the family institution to which we belong. My family have so far not given me cause to be held to blame, but I would think it most unfair if that happened. He’s not a child, so he’s responsible for his own actions.
By all means bring someone over here to interview him, but I think it’s unreasonable to expect anyone so much in the public eye to anticipate correct treatment over there. Whilst this shouldn’t be ‘tit for tat’, let them take the moral high ground and send the child killer over here and show how it should be done.

Alexa, if you are using a PC, this might help.
I had to enable the Touch keyboard to allow me to use emojis.
