Climate contrarianism

This essay, for which I've added a link below, explains part of the reason for much of what might be called the world's "climate contrarianism":

I particularly like the quotation from a hymn: "You can't be a beacon if your light don't shine."

Wow baggythecrust, you are the first person on the new topic Environment! Beat me to it. I'm about to look at your link but will have to come to it later as I have some gardening to do.
PS I wonder if we can get my climate change threads transferred to this topic?

Just an afterthought. I recommend that anyone who looks at this topic: Environment, should have a look at "other subjects" and then "climate change"; "nuclear power - no thanks"; "wind turbines" and "cost of energy". We've got some good discussions going. Also "solar panels".

Hi carboncareful, we've moved all those threads over here for you now. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Geraldine, that is really helpful.

Well, baggy, I've just had a look at the essay you recommened. It is just a long and nasty diatribe about Al Gore which I found quite sick-making. Besides which I have to say that I really am not interested in anything Enoch Powell may or may not have said and any essay beginning with a quote from him is highly suspect.
Climate change is about science not peoples's private lives.
