It helps if when you click forums you scroll down far enough to see local chat.
Thanks Ana

I don't see why it's hard. Click on Forums, click on 'local chat' and a list of all the local sites comes up. Simples! tchsmile

I hate to be the first to arrive anywhere smile

I think it's really hard to get to your local site too nina. Too complicated.

Ana Sun 06-Dec-15 13:05:21

Once you've found it, couldn't you save it to your Favourites nina?
(Assuming you have an old-fashioned PC like me, of course!)

A total of seven posts on the Kent site, the last being in October.
Can someone tell me the quickest way to get to my local site ? I seem to have to go round the back, down the alley and find it by chance. tchgrin

I see what you mean number.

My only suggestion is that you go to the local library, log into their computers, and leave each one open at your Local site page. Then go to John Lewis, Tesco, Curries, etc. and do the same with all their i-pads and laptops. HTH

I tried to act on your suggestion Jingl, but the last poster on there was me, on June 21st!

It's less than that. Some trains make it in 25 minutes.

You're a bit funny ja. tchgrin

Well, it is quite near, jane...50 miles or so.

Have you moved Jingl? I thought you lived near London confused

Oh! Why can't they make emotis work in titles?! hmm

Computers can't read emotes when they are in titles, sadly. Then there's the risk of really obscure ones, like cupcake roastchicken brew smile Instead of 'what have you eaten today?'

Local forum day sounds like a wonderful idea smile

It is, to make today "Local forum day".

Everyone could go to their local Gransnet site (so long as you have one of course) and reply to at least one post. And start a new thread about something local.

I have done this on my local (Berkshire) site.

It's a fresh approach to Gransnet. tchsmile
