Any views on David Nieper clothes?
I recently saw a catalogue of theirs which seemed to have some nice things. Pricy though but possibly OK if good quality.
I could be tempted out of my usual leopardskin fluffy onesie...

I have a friend who buys this and says they are excellent quality and she is very particular

As you say pricey, but nice quality and styling.

Yes, I have looked at their clothes, but find their styles a bit conservative and age-appropriate, and their colour range seem to be either very 'suitable' navy/black or a garish mix of colours, the centre ground seems to be almost entirely missing. Too much blue this season, a colour that does not suit me.

They do look a bit staid, but are probably made of good quality materials and are ( I think) made in the UK.

Yes, they are, and I always want to like their clothes and buy them. Their advertising is low key, with nothing in the text suggesting or even hinting that they are aiming at an older demographic and they do not just advertise in Saga type magazines but in magazines like Good Housekeeping and Country Living, which do have quite a number of older readers. They have their marketing spot on. Just a shame the clothes are not my style.

Ooh, no no no. What's with those awful prints, fussy necklines, funny rushed shoulders etc.
But each to his own grin

Oh great. I've ordered a dress. I like the cowl neck and general cut of the dress. The design looked quite nice and I liked the real blue colour. In actual fact I wondered if it was a bit 'young' for me!
Will keep you informed.

Yes, Staid is the word! They do avoid beige (!), but too much blue and aquamarine for my taste, and their red tends to be an orangey coral. Also too many ditsy patterns.

That's 'teal blue'. Stupid phone!

Well the dress arrived and is being sent straight back! The fabric was good quality and it was fine really. The problem was me. I just looked awful in it. Like a lady rugby player somehow. Oh well. Nothing ventured...

They do some nice but expensive nightwear.

That’s the problem isn’t it Jane I used to look good ( reasonably) grin in almost anything, but recently find that everything has to be tried on first, and most looks wrong even when tried on.
I will have to spend more I think, in order to get something that looks good on me.

You hadn't been on the juice, had you, when you ordered that dress, it can cloud the judgment you know grin
Other than a bit of animal print what is your style?
I'm assuming some print and the colour blue?
