Just checked and you have to have entered the details of DGC in the "My Grandchildren" area and then go to "Profile" and allow them to show number of grandchildren. It should then show how many DGC you have entered details for - bit convoluted I think

it was me, the other when! I probably didn't press the right button to opt in then. Not that it matters; they are, naturally, all miles ahead in everything

I'm amazed they haven't sorted this out yet. It is such a glaring fault. And yes, you could opt for developmental emails up to a certain age. You didn't imagine it whenim64.

Mine doesn't have the text box to enter how many grandchildren I have. Opposite the label (How many grandchildren do you have?) is a box where I can select "show" or "don't show" the number, names and so on, but there is nowhere to actually put in how many or the ages.

I may have entered these things three years ago (I can't remember) - but whatever I select it comes up as "She does not have any grandchildren" and I can't alter that.

I do in fact have three.

I've not had any e-mails of that nature.

I haven't looked for ages, but I seem to remember that if you gave the ages of your DGC you would get emails about what they should/could be doing, but I've never had any. Has anyone else, or am I fantasising and remembering things that never happened?

Mishap on 'My Gransnet'/edit profile there is a drop down menu giving a choice of how much detail is shown about your grandchildren. If this is set to 'do not show' then it will say you have none.
