Help Photographers advice please

How about scanning your photos and then they can be arranged directly into a photo book with words and whatever added if you want.
That would stop the blurring problem.

How have you photographed the images, jeanie? With your mobile or with a camera?
I haven’t tried it but there is an app called Photoscanner which apparently does this well.
I use the editing facility on Photo in Windows on the desktop when adjusting my images. You can change the colour balance with that.
My other suggestion would be to take your photos to Jessops and see what they can do with them.

I'd take them to a professional lab and let them scan and print them.Home equipment doesn't have the ability to adjust the colour in the same way and even some professionals who scan their own get bad colour bias.I dont know where you are based but if in the UK I'd suggest Locksleys ,you'll find them online.They aren't cheap for that service but they do a great job.Or check out Colour labs in your area .You've waited a long time for them so make sure its done right or you'll regret it.

Download a free trial of Paintshoppro. Use the "hue" options - slide the blue/yellow one towards the yellow end of the spectrum.There are also other photo-editing softwares to consider that you can download for free (GIMP, Paint.Net, Photoscape etc.)

I am not familiar with Picasa, but it too is likely to have a colour balance or Hue slider. To reduce blue, you add yellow.

Do you have a scanner? - it is better to scan old pics than to take photos of them, as you eliminate the shake. Or does your camera have an anti-shake button?

Maybe you could ask a friend to scan them and email them to you if you do not have a scanner.

I agree Loxley are good - I used to use them when I worked as a photographer. Very efficient.

Also if you are taking the pics on your phone (although scanning is better) they mostly have their own basic editing software on board which should include colour balance.

I tried scanning on my printer but the image was terrible very burry.
I used my camera to take the photos.
I used the editing feature in Picaso but couldn't change the colour balance from the blue.
Is photo in windows a free download?
I have Gimp downloaded but haven't used this I'm not sure how to change the colour in this application.
I did think about going to a professional but I didn't want prints my preference is a photobook.
The photobook photobox processed for me previously came out spot on so I would have like this for the wedding album.
I may have to think again though on this point.

My camera as anti shake I assume it is on I'll check.

I've taken so many of the photos trying to improve the quality I'm really getting fed up now.

If the scanning is not going well - have you set the resolution high enough?

I've had the photos scanned as was suggested by a photography company and the blue tinge photo shopped. Very please With the result.
