How do I get rid of Amazon’s repeated request for me to switch accounts.

Every time I get an email referring to an order I tap the track button or the review stars and up comes a page asking me if I wish to switch accounts. There is no way that I can see to get rid of this and be able to track orders or looks at details. I don’t want to switch accounts so grrrr! Has anyone managed to get rid of this page? If so would love to know how.

You must have another person that has signed in with their details. Go to your account and delete the other account.

I’ve never had this message, sounds like what cornishpatsy described.

I’m guessing that at some point you may have signed up to an Amazon scheme which allows them to make donations to a charity based on what you spend on Amazon. It’s called Amazon Smile. When you make a purchase, Amazon may be asking if you want your purchase to go through the Smile scheme so that your nominated charity benefits.

Thank you. I did get my dh an account so he could order as well as me but mainly because he could share Amazon free books on a kindle app. I thought that might be it but my friend told me she is having this as well and she is a widow and only has one account. I can’t understand why it should replace my tracking of items purchased. Also I would expect a way of declining it. It’s a nuisance. Anyway I will look into my account. geekesse I don’t recall anything about Amazon Smile and it is not mentioned on the annoying page. Anyway that is interesting. Thank you.

I found this forum through searching for how I could get rid of Amazon constantly asking me to Switch Accounts when all I want to do is track a delivery. There was a discussion on here about it,
dating back to July, but there was no conclusive answer. Does anybody know how I can get rid of it please? I used to be able to talk to Amazon support but can’t see how to get there now.

I have just realised that I am actually on the page where the question was asked. It was Lovetopaint037 who had the problem too. I hope she might read this and have an answer by now.

I don’t have another account and have not signed up to the charity scheme.

I am now thinking that, as this thread is some months old, I will be unlikely to get an answer. If not, I’ll start a new one and hope somebody knows what to do. It means it is impossible to track an order because the switch account page always comes up and it is impossible to get out of it.

I have never experienced this. I have registered for Amazon Smile, it doesn't cost a penny but means a little of the purchase price you pay goes to your chosen charity. Why wouldn't you do that?

If I’ve ever had a problem with Amazon I always phone them.
My problems have always been soled by very helpful people.

I get asked if I want to switch accounts . I think it's because DH and I share our Prime account. I doesn't bother me.
