I seem to have an agreement from DH that we will go away and have a holiday in September. Without his bike. smile (last year it was a week in Ireland and a bit of a menage a trois, him, me and the bike)
He has a thing about the euro at the moment so we have agreed either Turkey or N. Cyprus.
Any recommendations of where to head that is good for walking and not busy and nightclubby with lots of fish and chips and English breakfasts.
And - has anyone gone to either of these locations without booking up in advance?

I have a friend who lives in Turkey JessM next time I talk to her I'll ask her where the best places for walking are. She's got her son visiting next week and they are going on a trip to this place pleasingvacations.com/turkey-vacations/vacation-to-cappadocia-travel-cappadocia-turkeys-best-destinations.

That is kind of you libradi
I have been to Greece lots of time and I know Turkish coast has been heavily developed in the same way as areas of Greece. Suggestions for quieter places welcome.

JessM I've just been on skype talking to my friend in Turkey, she suggested a place in Turkey called Turunc. She's not been there for a few years but she has a friend who loves it there. Its' on the coast, has historical sites etc. but not too commercialised although as I said she's not been there for some time. Maybe worth taking a look.

Found this - www.turuncvillas.co.uk/Turunc.php

Thank you very much. That looks like a good idea - i like staying in small towns that are not all about tourists. Very kind of you.
I have just bought the Rough Guide so will have a look and see what they say in there about it as well.
