Himself and I are planning a mini break to Prague in the spring and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to offer regarding small, old hotels near Wenceslas Square, please. We'd like to avoid the large, you're-just-a-number/factory type hotels!!

We thought that a nearby street would be quieter than staying in the Square itself and would like a 4* if possible.

Thank you for any information that you can offer smile

We stayed in Hotel Caesar in Myslikova Street. It's a decent hotel in a quiet street, ten minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and only two mins from the River Vltava.
Best of both worlds.

We stayed in a hotel on the Square in the ex. Ambassador residence. It was fab and a good location to get to everything. I have also stayed in a converted convent in Prague, The rooms where the old cells but had every comfort and convenience and very atmospheric. Enjoy, its a great trip to take.

We stayed in a good 4* but it was very much the style you are wanting to avoid. If probably look Trip Advisor. Or pick the brains of a travel agent, get agents price. Then say you'll think about it and go home and check what you can get it for. Then book with whoever is cheaper.

We loved Prague. While there we visited Terezin prison of war camp. Not everyone's cup of tea. But a wonderfully educational and humbling day trip.

We stayed at the Jury’s Inn, Prague. It’s a short tram ride, or a walk, from Wenceslas Square and we were very happy with it. Good breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant if you want it and a bar with an open fireplace. Comfortable rooms too.

We also stayed at Jury's Inn recently and were happy with it and the location. Kateykrunch - would love to hear more about the ex. Ambassador residence and converted convent as both sound fun and unique places to stay.
