Can anyone recommend a quiet Christmas holiday relatively warm but not long hall for 1 couple and two singles please ?

I can't hack a warm/hot Christmas, it disorientates me.

In Cyprus, Paphos it's about 20 degrees. Morocco warmer.
Malta is mid 60's but I think it rains a lot in December so you'd have to take a chance.
I've been to Cyprus in November and that was lovely and warm.

What about about 4 hours flight...warm in the daytime .....we stay in a very nice hotel called Rui Tres Iles....we have never been at Christmas but others say it is very nice...a comfortable if a bit old fashioned hotel...but read the reviews....always popular...

Fuerteventura, Jandia, down south, a bit warmer than the north, something like Hotel Magic Life maybe?
Always go for Christmas...but I get out before New Year, the noise and fireworks....

Madeira? Not long haul and very welcoming and friendly (as well as beautiful!)

The weather in the Canaries is perfect at Chrismas. I remember the flower beds in Tenerife filled with Poinsettias.
However I prefer Fuerteventura as it is quieter. If you really want quiet it might be best to rent a villa rather than have to hear the hotel celebrations. I used to rent an apartment with amenities and hire a bike.
Have a great time, whatever you choose.

Jilly43 I see your hotel is in Fuertaventura and someone else has recommended there. I’ve never been to the Canary Islands and wouldn’t mind a 4 hour flight. Thanks everyone so far smile

I have been swimming in the sea in Cyprus in late November. It’s generally early 20s. In December. paphos is open all year unlike protaras which shuts down completely early November until March/April.

We have stayed at the Los Gigantes hotel in Los Gigantes,Tenerife a couple of times.Once at the start of December and once for New Year.Lovely weather both times.

I lived in the Canaries for about 10 years. Tenerife mainly. Many years ago now. Love them all. Fabulous weather at Christmas. All tastes catered for, depending what you like. I also like Jandia in Fuerteventura. Mainly German guests and it's quite quiet with an amazing beach. Nice little restaurants and the most lively, vibrant pharmacy I've ever been in!

Sorrento perhaps. I knew somebody who went there many times for Christmas and New Year. She always spoke well of it.

Any of the Canary Islands is wonderful over Christmas.

We did have Christmas in Tenerife one year, it was very strange. Warm weather and Christmas decorations but still had a lovely time. Lots of walking and relaxing.

Just the two of us without family but we had a family Skype which was good.

I don't think now we have grand children I would do it again, we would miss them so much.

We love the Canary Islands, have booked a months stay this Oct/Nov.

Mainland Spain is lovely at xmas and there are some very cheap deals to be had. It isn't hot, but usually warm, and quiet too. Usually older Spanish people around rather than British. I'd never go mid summer but in winter... nice. And a short flight, too.

Christmas in Lanzarote weather still good but it really is like a normal holiday there but twice the price . We used to go out just before Christmas and met up with people over for the Christmas break one mum said they even brought lots of presents with them . You pay a lot for the one day , New Year is even worse. While we were there in December 2018 I watched the prices for Christmas from TUI and for once there were bargains to be had .
