Originally in French, and from a story during the time when there were wolves in the French Jura Mountains. Directed by Luc Jacquet, the film was made in 2007.

Has anyone else seen this? What did you think?

Took 2 of my grandchildren to the cinema to see this a few years back and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
So - saw that it was on the telly yesterday and recorded it. Later my granddaughter (who saw it the first time) and her 4 year old brother came so decided to see if they would like to watch it. Granddaughter was thrilled to bits to watch it again and 4 year old enjoyed it also.

A beautifully made film with wonderful cinematography. For any nature lovers - a lovely film.

I liked it. The filming is impressive and often beautiful. Like you, I can see it would have an appeal to children. But I thought some of it was a bit of a stretch from reality.

Its saving feature is that the child learns something important about not interfering too much with wildlife.

Oh, and that silly bit of hair falling over her face all the time irritated me. The whole point of a practical hairstyle like that is to keep your hair out of your eyes. I thought pulling a lock out was a silly 'device'.

Yes, I agree, one felt that a lot was rather contrived, but it was a nice film for the children.
