Is it just me or does Amanda Holdens awful, screechy, raucous laugh grate on anyone else's nerves? I haven't watched this show for a couple of years - now I remember why.

I stopped watching a couple of years ago I might look on bits in catch up but it’s the judges that have spoiled it for me Can’t stand David Walliums and his sexual innuendos and the two women seem to compete with who can get away with wearing the least covering their plastic bodies and Cowel looks like a homeless person
Shame really as I like the variety of some very good acts I ll start watching again if they get away with the judges and Ant and Dec who are very childish in this

Vying for attention should be classed as an illness because this is what Amanda Holden is doing and last night took on a very false laugh which is exactly like the laugh that Alesha Dixon has.
4 talentless artificial and affected indivduals.

Last night was the first time I'd watched it for ages and if those clowns continue their unfunny exhibitionisms I won't be bothering again.

I thought the young opera singer was worth more than BGT !

Totally agree Bluebelle. I thought some of the talent was incredible and really worth watching, such a shame that the judges spoil it. They seem so desperate to be centre stage, when it is not them but the acts that we are interested in. And now Alesha has started screeching too! Agghhhh!

Crossed posts EV - I agree with you too!

I agree with all of the above but still watch in case a special act appears.
I did enjoy the school children having such fun performing with their teacher last night.

I like the acts but not the judges, especially Amanda Holden.

I agree with you . Amanda Holden is a pain in the neck.

The sound engineers and producers could easily squelch or edit the screechy laughs. I've only noticed them recently. Is it possible either or both of these ladies have upset some of the crew in some way?

I am a bit of a lover of BGT. I prefer it to the X factor. I have read the rest of the comments and I must say I agree with them all. I think David Walliams does go a bit far on occasions, but as for the acts I think most of them this year have been exceptional. there has been the usual dross and people who think they are better than they are but that's normal. I also watch the follow up programme BGMT with Stephen Mulhern and there seems to be a lot of acts on that that for some reason didn't make the ITV1 version and I don't know why. I remember there was a group of - I suppose they were cheerleaders, who did an act with sort of bunting, twirling it around and skipping and things and they were v good. There were others as well that I wondered why they didn't make the same cut. As for the judges, they can be v irritating at times, as can A&D I think, but I suppose we have to put up with them for the acts don't we? - BIG COL
