Did anyone else enjoy this? We are really looking forward to the next episode. I think I'm right in saying that it is from the Horrible Histories stable, and that is another programme we love.

So pleased there's going to be another series.I am going to rewatch all the episodes because it's a long time since something has made me chuckle so much.Such lovely, gentle, silly humour.Just what we all need. And yes I'm a but in love with Robin. How weird !

But I missed it this week. Come back soon.

Love it, funny, not rude, no swearing, and I love Robin the stone age fella.

lemongrove Tue 28-May-19 18:00:21

Scary? ?
Yonderland is great btw.

Good to hear there will be a second series. Planning to rewatch the first series again to cat h the bits I may have missed.

They almost got it on before the watershed but I think some of it was too scary [it scared me, anyway]; but lots of people seem to watch it with their children and the catchphrases have become part of their lives...I now need to watch Horrid Histories and Yonderland.

I was introduced to this quite late, last weekend when visiting son and DiL. Watched the first five episodes there and the sixth and final one when it was on.
Really enjoyed this, as has been said, quirky, gentle fun and good comedy. Glad there is going to be a second series.

Labaik Tue 28-May-19 14:08:48

Second series given the go ahead. Hurrah !!!

Labaik Wed 15-May-19 09:22:09

Of course; I'd got it in my head that she'd died in the Great Fire of London [and had probably been the person responsible for starting it]. I think she's now probably my favourite but I do love Robin [why is he called Robin ?]. So many catchphrases in one show !

Charlotte's face says it all.

As time goes on I am trying to decide who is my favourite ghost. I have a soft spot for the woman burnt at the stake. Her use of language is such a delight. " I always do smell burning. "

It is great, isn't it? And apparently there's a DVD so we can watch it again after it goes off iPlayer!

Deedaa Tue 14-May-19 20:55:07

Loved the dreadful dinner party!

Labaik Tue 14-May-19 17:46:57

It just gets better and better. Only one more episode, though. Mind you, I watch them several times and still laugh my head off. Although Robin is so sweet sometimes I want to cry, too...

Avor2 Tue 14-May-19 16:19:02

Maybelle they are plague ghosts so can't go upstairs !! I love the programme, makes me giggle, and no-one swears, its great fun, good old Horrible Histories, so clever.

Labaik Mon 06-May-19 23:29:43

Was in tears right from the start watching tonight's episode...

Labaik Sun 28-Apr-19 00:15:06

I've just rewatched episode 2 because I hadn't realised the cellar ghosts were different to the other ones. I laughed even more second time round. The cellar ghosts reminded me of the minions.

Deedaa Fri 26-Apr-19 20:59:10

I told DD to watch because of the Horrible Histories connection. She said she couldn't understand why it was on so late as there was nothing her 12 year old couldn't watch.

I caught up with it a couple of days ago. It's hilarious. Nice to have something that's funny without being vulgar.

Washerwoman Thu 25-Apr-19 19:18:34

We caught up with both episodes yesterday.I laughed out loud more than at anything supposedly 'funny' in ages.Charlotte Richie has great comedic timing and expression.Indeed all the cast are excellent. We recognised the politician with no trousers as the rival from The Detectorists. Another great comedy series, albeit subtler and gentler.

LullyDully Thu 25-Apr-19 17:44:34

Charlotte Richie

I am enjoying it, silly yet not offensive. I loved the husband using YouTube to mend an ancient heating system. Then the fun of waiting for him to lift the red lever as the ghosts desperately urged him to do.

Good to see the actress from Fresh Meat and the Midwives. If you YouTube her, she is a wonderful singer. Not sure if her name. (If I Google it I will loose my writing. )

lemongrove Thu 25-Apr-19 16:59:42

Yes, I feel sorry for the cellar ghosts too!grin they should be invited upstairs.

Maybelle Thu 25-Apr-19 15:28:02

Has anyone any ideas about the group of ghosts in the cellar ?
They seem so unhappy when the lights are turned off and once again they are left in the dark.
Why don't they go upstairs?
Or are they plague victims ? And died down there so cannot go upstairs ?

Labaik Thu 25-Apr-19 15:12:35

My favourite is the stone age man; I chuckle every time I think of him....

Deedaa Fri 19-Apr-19 20:30:44

How nice to watch something that is just being funny and not trying too hard to be cutting edge!
