Sad to read the news that Tina Turner has died. Didn't realise she was 83.

An incredible performer was Tina.
Absolutely great music. And a strong woman who shone through against the odds. I admired her very much. RIP Tina.

Gutted. Saw her live several times, she was sensational.

Very sad news - a genuine superstar.

Another icon leaves the stage. Saw her in concert in 1990 and she was fabulous. May she rest in peace.

She overcame poverty and abuse, and fought to become the superstar we will remember. Electric on stage, and what a voice. Rest in peace, Tina, and condolences to family and friends.

We've lost one of the role models of our generation, and I'm very sad. Unforgetable performer. RIP, Tina.

An incredibly gifted singer and an amazing survivor of domestic abuse .
RIP Tina .

I have always loved her songs and admired her. At the moment I have some mobility issues and I started watching her perform Proud Mary as an older performer. She inspired me to keep moving even if I am far from agile like she was.

A wonderful woman.

It sounds as if she was happy with her second husband, they were together for many years. He was Swiss and they lived in Switzerland. He donated a kidney to her some years ago. Ike was an absolute monster. She was a brilliant performer.

I used to joke I was Tina Turner's body double, as we were the same age! I shall miss her, for that alone.

An amazing lady. I first saw her in 1981 at a Rolling Stones concert where she performed a fairly sexy routine with Mick Jagger…pretty mild by today’s standards I guess…and then again at Wembley Stadium at her farewell concert in July 2000. Such energy. Felt quite envious that she was still able to strut her stuff wearing those very high heels at the age of 60.

Tina Turner was/is an inspiration to women stuck in a bad place🙏RIP

I saw Ike and Tina Tuner twice in the 60s at what was then the Hammersmith Odeon. The first time they were great and her singing and energy amazing. The second time, they were more famous and were doing two shows in an evening. My DH and I had tickets for the first show which was nearly an hour late in starting. Consequently they ran through the set very quickly. Thinking back I put the blame on Ike, for whatever reason. At that time of course we didn't know about the dreadful life she lived with him.

My friend and I saw her in Paris about 30 years ago, she was brilliant. We had a fabulous weekend.
