Anyone else find this a little too creepy, Or am I a big wimp ? Not sure I'll be watching next weekend.

'Are you going to Scarborough fair......' shock

hildajenniJ Mon 01-Dec-14 15:06:29

I'm really enjoying it. It is slowly building to a climax. I love the Yorkshire coast and Scarborough in particular, so that makes it worth watching for me. I like ghost stories and am not easily spooked.

Loving it, very atmospheric.

Do give it a go Whitewave

Kiora Mon 01-Dec-14 22:20:12

I'm easily spooked. I wish I hadn't started watching it. Too late now I want to know the ending. shock so I'll have sit unusually close to my husband next week.

POGS Mon 01-Dec-14 22:25:50

Hhmm.

Just watched part 2. Not sure it is going to hold me as much as I thought.

Ana Mon 01-Dec-14 22:31:59

Well, only one more episode to go POGS, so we may as well see it to the end.

I agree with what others have said about the scenery - takes me right back.

Episode 3

What an anti climax !
Not a single fright. To think I was completely spooked during the first episode.

merlotgran Sun 07-Dec-14 22:48:09

It dragged on a bit didn't it?

Ana Sun 07-Dec-14 22:51:07

Absolutely agree, nina. I was willing it to end so I could turn it off...

(He had three cards from the Queen, but there was no trace of him on any of the records the police had access to, such as NI number, pension, etc., etc. hmm)

rosequartz Sun 07-Dec-14 22:53:32

It could have been condensed into two episodes, or even one.

J52 Sun 07-Dec-14 23:50:56

Had to explain the last episode to DH, who had popped in and out of the room. (Not in a spooky way!) it didn't sound much when i retold it!
Was it a half an hour story, extended? x

Greenfinch Mon 08-Dec-14 07:59:15

I nodded off as I was so bored by it and had to get DH to explain it to me. Seemed very far-fetched but DH liked it.

Kiora Mon 08-Dec-14 08:07:58

I just felt the ending was very weak and disappointing. Oh well there's always the 'fall'

PRINTMISS Mon 08-Dec-14 08:40:02

I thought it was all ridiculous, and I was really disappointed. O.K. so it was a ghost story, but there was nothing there that I found ghostly, just silly scene-setting. The acting was wasted on the story.

Pittcity Mon 08-Dec-14 09:15:39

My kitchen tap was dripping when I got up this morning...

Lilygran Mon 08-Dec-14 09:47:43

J52 and rosequartz I agree! There were some really spooky moments but not enough material for three hours. And PRINTMISS too. Really good performances from everyone.

Greyduster Mon 08-Dec-14 09:58:10

Plus one for disappointed, though I thought the lake scene was tense. After watching a recording of "Woman in Black" last week, I was so freaked out by it that anything "Remember Me" could have thrown at me would have paled into insignificance!

Eloethan Mon 08-Dec-14 11:34:54

It was very silly.

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 08-Dec-14 22:16:44

...in your opinion missis! hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 08-Dec-14 22:18:08

I think you would probably need to watch all of the three episodes back to back, to really get it.

Eloethan Tue 09-Dec-14 00:49:10

jingle If that was for me, I think - even if there were some creepy moments - most people on here thought it turned out to be pretty silly.

petallus Tue 09-Dec-14 08:14:53

I found most of the characters irritating. I even shouted 'oh stop whining' at the young woman with the brother.

However i became transfixed by the scene on the lake, particularly the final interaction between michael palin and the ghost which was moving and beautifully acted.

POGS Mon 15-Dec-14 00:39:10

Caught up with it tonight and my opinion didn't change.

Iwas quite disappointed to be honest.
