Oh, I had forgotten the Mallen Streak, I loved the series and the book(s).
I have recently purchased the box set of The Forsyte Saga.
I also enjoyed The Onedin Line, The Brothers, Dixon of Dock Green, Quatermass, and the Catherine Cooksons which they still show on the Yesterday channel.

Alima Sun 22-Nov-15 15:49:07

Yes chelseababy, those two Delderfield ones are my favourites too, along with Tenko, Bally K, A Town Like Alice, The Waltons, Cagney and Lacey. Also loved Westerns like The Monroes and The Virginian.

Anyone remember ZCars? I used to love Brian Blessed in that.

Jane10 Sun 22-Nov-15 18:00:13

Blake's Seven. I was in labour in hospital when the final episode was on so never found out what happened. Was gutted but new baby made up for it.

JamJar1 Sun 22-Nov-15 18:04:40

The Dutchess of Duke Street.

chelseababy Sun 22-Nov-15 18:07:28

Lillie, Edward and Mrs Simpson. Agree Duchess of Duke St. Yes liked the police ones, No Hiding Place?

rosequartz Sun 22-Nov-15 18:08:35

Many of the above - The Onedin Line, When the Boat Comes In,^To Serve them all My Days^ everything on anniebach's list, and does anyone remember 'Helen - a Woman of Today'?
Blake's Seven - I remember going to the hairdresser's and she cut my hair like the Supreme Commander's. DM was babysitting and she got a fit of the giggles when she saw it and kept looking at my hair and giggling for the rest of the day hmm
(it was shorter than I expected)

It looks as if I didn't get out much

Falconbird Sun 22-Nov-15 18:59:34

I'd forgotten Tenko - it was brilliant and ground breaking in its day.

The black and white version of The Woodlanders (1970s)

It had Felicity Kendle as Grace Melbury and they had a dialogue coach so that the actors had a genuine Dorset accent and not just oh ah oh ah in a horrible general sort of yokel way.

As I come from Weymouth I really appreciated it.

A Family at War

Sam

Dr Finlay

Judge Deed

Jomarie Sun 22-Nov-15 22:38:14

Anyone remember Dr Kildare? I was smitten.

James Bolam in "When the Boat Comes In" was/is my all time favourite. In fact I have the box set (60th birthday present) and last winter managed to watch all of them - it was still brilliant.

How about Bonanza and Rawhide - absolutely brilliant cowboys imho.
