The nurse who contracted ebola is back in hospital. Can I admit my absolute ignorance and ask what is still happening about the outbreak? It seems to have faded from the news. Does this mean it is under control? Or that papers tired of reporting on it? I'm assuming it can't have been wiped out completely?

I thought that they had found a cure?
She is in as a result of the side effects something to do with her thyroid?

The outbreak is fading (fewer people are contracting it) so worry about it and news about it is fading too.

In the nurse's case, it seems her readmission to hospital is because of the original infection, not a new one, and what she has now is not contagious.

She is expected to recover again.

Yes, should have been clearer. I understand that she has had complications from the original infection but I was more asking what was happening in Africa. Thanks - I didn't realise a cure had been found. How sad that so many had to lose their lives first.
