There was a young granny called Jingle
Whose humour did oft' make me tingle.*
She's no longer here,
Oh dear and oh dear!
Please come back Jingle and mingle.

* with mirth!

Yippee.... I've had a great day and now Jingle is back (albeit reincarnated!) is that right, been at the wine
Watched the starlings coming in to roost, now jingle is back to roost, hurrah!
P.S. shehas good to see you..... waste of time going all poetic then?

Carol Wed 25-Jan-12 21:04:31

Hi shehas nice to see you are knocking about and keeping an eye on us thanks

shehas Wed 25-Jan-12 21:07:58

OGM your poem is lovely.

Thank you very much for it. ♥ x smile

glammanana Wed 25-Jan-12 22:12:15

Well I was right (that doesn't happen very often) the cat does have nine live's.smile

Oldgreymare Wed 25-Jan-12 22:14:35

shehas if you are in touch with jil would you please convey to her that I have a fear of flying so tantric sex would be quite out of the question!!!!
shock
( I am right? It is something to do with levitation? confused )

jeni Wed 25-Jan-12 22:23:51

Google it. It seems to be based on yoga and straddling the partner and breathing in when they are breathing out and energising the breath as you take it in!
What with my hips and not being powered by gold topped batteries, I don't think it's for me.
Why aren't I in a bad mood after today?
Must be the wine and cupcake

Annika Wed 25-Jan-12 22:25:12

shehas ? Do I see a new girl in our presence ? wink

jeni Wed 25-Jan-12 22:25:35

By the way is it "shehas" or she ass? grin

Oldgreymare Wed 25-Jan-12 22:32:15

Jeni.... doubly impossible then, my asthma added to a fear of flying. Sounds like a right rigmarole to me, anyway! hmm

jeni Wed 25-Jan-12 22:39:13

Quite!

em Wed 25-Jan-12 22:58:23

Here we go again then! I dare not use the term 'alter ego' as all hell broke loose last time I did! Would someone please explain to me - what is the appeal to ostensibly mature women of this repetitive nonsense ?

Annika Wed 25-Jan-12 23:01:03

Well you know Corrie isn't on so........

em Wed 25-Jan-12 23:02:30

So....?

jeni Wed 25-Jan-12 23:02:58

Boredom?

jeni Wed 25-Jan-12 23:05:47

Come on em, relax! It's just fun after ( in my case anyway) all the very serious and difficult cases I've been dealing with all day.

em Wed 25-Jan-12 23:13:39

The counterpoint of serious and difficult is not necessarily trivial, repetitive and irritating, is it?

Greatnan Thu 26-Jan-12 07:26:33

Damn - have I missed all the fun whilst I was away?

GoldenGran Thu 26-Jan-12 08:12:01

Yes, but it is all over now and things are back to normal - or as normal as it gets round here grin

shysal Thu 26-Jan-12 08:20:20

We are not obliged to follow or contribute to the trivial threads! What a sad life if it would be without occasional silliness.
I am glad shehas come back.I think one either 'gets' her or not. Banter is always meant to be funny rather than offensive. sunshine

kittylester Thu 26-Jan-12 08:23:26

But, shysal it should always be respectful and never hurtful! smile

petallus Thu 26-Jan-12 09:12:18

I like a bit of banter now and then but not if it crops up to disrupt more serious threads. And not if it's rude.

petallus Thu 26-Jan-12 09:13:10

By the way, has anyone else noticed that Bagitha hasn't contributed for some time?

Carol Thu 26-Jan-12 09:20:59

Like the majority of sensible Gransnetters, Bagitha knows when to keep her own counsel. Let's all just celebrate we are here and can enjoy each other's company.

nanachrissy Thu 26-Jan-12 09:29:21

Hear hear Carol smile

petallus Thu 26-Jan-12 09:32:19

Hear hear from me as well. Anyway, I've just spotted Bagitha on another thread.
