Thanks girls, my friends were great but lunch was a bit disappointing. You know when somewhere is really good, and then it gets very popular and portions go smaller and standards drop slightly? That's what has happened, so when I got home I was still hungry! Hey ho!

............ quietly entering with a glass of chilled white wine, after a walk around the garden. Late sunshine, long shadows and drunk bees kept me company.

How lovely butter - we haven't been here for ages!
It's been raining here all day, but now the clouds have parted and we have a bit of weak sunshine, just in time for the birds to flit around finding their supper.

I love a spot of evening sunshine, nag - birds do, too.

They're quieter than this morning, when J. commented that the sparrows who live in a big bush just below our bedroom window, needed an asbo, they were so rowdy!

I've been working yesterday, today and again tomorrow! I need a few gentle moments?
I just trust that dogs are not allowed.

Hi, I'd been wondering where you were jeni and hoping all was ok. Coming back from hols. can sometimes be a bit of a bump.

No, absolutely no dogs this evening.

Talking about birds, the two blackbirds in my garden wake the other birds (and me) at 4.30 every morning with their competition as to who can make the most noise!

Collared doves are a bit of a problem in our garden - 5.00 a.m. their monotonous hooting starts - must get some decent earplugs!

I seem to have strained my right wrist and have problems with my oa fingers as well. So I won't be posting much for a bit until its settled!

But I'm still watching!

...the thing is, my sparrows just squabble all the time, whereas blackbirds are supposed to be the singers......

The weeds I saw this evening in the veg. patch were outrageous and I haven't the energy to tackle them yet - so I'm here instead..........missing family and folk.
