... to expect a "single" duvet cover to fit a standard single duvet?

I bought a Chad Valley Dinosaur duvet set from Argos today to go on DG's bed. I had a choice of "toddler" or "single". As I want to put it on a standard single duvet, I bought "single".

As soon as I got home, I unwrapped it and threw it in the washing maching, only to notice, when I came put it on the stand to dry, that it is way too small for a standard duvet - I haven't actually measured it, but think it is at least 15 inches too short!

I've since searched both catalogue and packaging, but no measurements are actually given.

I'm fuming! Not only do I have the inconvenience of returning it, but might have problems anyway as it has now been through the washer!!!"

Another one here who washes things before using or wearing even undies.
Especially bedding it always triggers my asthma off if I don't . Full of chemicals from all the processes used .
Yes I'd agree it sounds as if it's a toddler one in a single packet. Argos have a 17 day no quibble returns policy so you will be ok anyway.

Unless you've left it from 2014 until now!

It's always the way - when an ancient thread suddenly pops up the new posting is always an advert for something.

I am shocked that there are people out there who use bedlinen and underwear without washing it first.

DD always washes stuff first - doesn't get it from me though grin
