I know I'm not - I'm furious. I shall put it in a large envelope and send it back to the Sun ( unstamped of course) . The thought of that example of all that is wrong with the moral values of certain sectors of modern Britain dropping onto my doormat makes me so angry angry

Mine too has arrived - I was beginning to feel deprived.

There seems to be some sort of sporting event going on.

sunseeker Thu 12-Jun-14 16:32:39

Mine was waiting for me when I got home - I shall send it back tomorrow!

janerowena Thu 12-Jun-14 16:35:50

I'm going to post mine back tomorrow. If that's a genuine sample, why do people pay good money for it?

FlicketyB Thu 12-Jun-14 16:39:26

Ours arrived today. Had a quick look, all football and jingoism. I am going to use it to light the fire. We don't have an outside wc otherwise I could find another use for it there.

Ours arrived today and went straight into the recycling bin with the rest of the junk mail.

merlotgran Thu 12-Jun-14 17:08:10

Same here angry

Charleygirl Thu 12-Jun-14 18:03:57

Yep, that is where mine went, I did not bother to open it. What a waste of paper.

Iam64 Thu 12-Jun-14 18:23:12

Yes, our copy arrived with the rest of the post. I hope to summon up the energy to post it back to them.

BeeWitch Thu 12-Jun-14 18:27:35

We got ours today ... Perfect not only for cat litter disposal but as firelighters. grin

harrigran Thu 12-Jun-14 18:41:54

Nobody in our street got one, just a lot of fuss about nothing.

petallus Thu 12-Jun-14 18:45:57

Ooh, I've got one.

There's no page 3 woman.

There's a picture of Winston Churchill, the Queen and competition results for 'favourite English rose'

An article by James Corden which I shall read later (I like him)

A lot on football

Tony Parsons on England as 'a land of creativity and grit'

A sexy picture of Rita Ora.

A bit of cookery.

Mmmm!

Nothing there to defile my house.

I think this edition is definitely toned down to the usual.

Ana Thu 12-Jun-14 18:47:31

But how would you know? wink

petallus Thu 12-Jun-14 19:08:48

You are beastly Ana but nevertheless I will tell you how I know.

I read a copy in Waitrose last week. It was the only paper left. I usually prefer the Mail and failing that the Telegraph (I read the Guardian on my ipad every morning and like a change).

I must admit, I am tolerant of nearly all the papers but the Sun was pretty awful. Page 3 still showing half naked women, a trashy approach to nearly everything else.

After reading it I felt like I'd eaten a big plateful of badly cooked fish and chips. I was left with an unpleasant aftertaste and wished I hadn't done it grin

Iam64 Thu 12-Jun-14 19:20:45

flowers wine for petallus

Ana Thu 12-Jun-14 19:22:14

'beastly'??? [hurt and bewildered emoticon]

petallus Thu 12-Jun-14 19:32:01

Are you joking Ana? You haven't put a grin emoticon.

I was joking.

Ana Thu 12-Jun-14 19:34:24

Sorry, petallus - of course! grin

NfkDumpling Thu 12-Jun-14 19:40:23

We didn't get one. Is this a leg pull?

petallus Thu 12-Jun-14 19:40:56

Thought I'd better check. You can never be sure on a forum.

Now you're even more b*as*ly! grin

Ana Thu 12-Jun-14 19:42:35

wink

petallus Thu 12-Jun-14 19:46:28

Thanks Iam64

janerowena Thu 12-Jun-14 20:43:04

I thought it was a waste of a good tree!

sunseeker Thu 12-Jun-14 22:23:12

If you are sending it back the address is: FREEPOST, The Sun, London E98 1AX

janerowena Thu 12-Jun-14 23:13:19

durhamjen Thu 12-Jun-14 23:37:25

Thanks, Sunseeker. Haven't received one yet, but I read somewhere it would be Thursday or Friday.
