That us GN's have missed out again!

Well, they are doing another 'Celebrities type tv programme' where they go off to Italy. Now, I dont begrudge the current mob doing the Celebrities in Camper Vans, but, I am annoyed us lot have missed out again on a trip to Italy. Why were we not asked to go, we would be an interesting bunch and oh so entertaining. I get fed up when some of the 'Stars' say, ooooo, I've always wanted to go there, didn't they ever make enough money to pay for a trip themselves? I do suppose, once we GN's have done our first trip, we will be the 'Celeb's', so I had better watch what I say. (I wouldn't even mind a spell in the 'Big Brother GN House').

Can I come too? my "credentials"

For:
I am very easy going (as long as things are done my way)
I don't have a problem with coffee (I have a problem without coffee)
I am a great listener (as long as you are talking about something that interests me)

Against:
Don't speak any foreign languages (but if you shout loud enough foreigners understand English)
I need to fly at least business class (don't want to mix with the unwashed masses)
Can't think of a third as I am practically perfect in every way!!

Not a cruise then...Is it to be a Charabanc Outing or more of a Bring Your Own Wheels Whacky Races Jaunt? If a Charabanc, can you get one with a roof rack as I quite fancy the thought of bringing a goat and a few chickens in a crate in case of emergencies.

Greyduster Fri 22-Sept-17 12:50:10

If it's a charabanc trip, don't expect me to tip the driver - I have short arms and long pockets!!

CherryHatrick Fri 22-Sept-17 12:55:09

Sunseeker

How do you feel about goats and chickens?

Greyduster
My mother always said she was looking for someone with deep pockets and a short cough!

Greyduster Fri 22-Sept-17 13:12:44

grin

CherryHatrick Goat makes a very good stew and I love fried chicken

Kateykrunch Fri 22-Sept-17 15:01:33

All the newby applicants are IN! Please read all posts to ensure that you fully understand that this is a luxury trip, there will be nothing less than Business travel and 6 star luxury. I doubt you will need sandals, goats or chickens. Prague is lovely even in the colder months (think mulled wine). There will be no need for additional people to be in charge as I am in charge, although Auntieflo thinks she is, but she isn't! The more the merrier, I have been reviewing applications all day, I am very impressed with the caliber of applicant. See, why wouldn't you want me in charge, I'm soooo loverly. Now, of course there will need to be RULES, so, no spitting, fighting or name calling and only I suitcase, if you are not at the agreed meeting points at the time I say I mean we arrange, then we will go without you!, get it?, got it?, GOOD. Goody bags are coming on a treat, Gucci and Haribo delivery just arrived.

Do we have monitors and name badges? because I never got to be one at school (monitor that is) and I'm useless at remembering names. Oh and something to ensure anyone who strays/gets lost is safely returned to the hotel. I've heard Prague has a great drinking culture and that some GNers are-inclined-to-over-indulge enjoy sampling the local concoctions. (Thanks to gillybob for how to cross out)

I am sure that I would make a good addition to your trip. Here are my three bad points:
1) I am very lazy so would need pushing around in a wheelchair.
2) if we see a Show I would need the best seat # wheelchair.
3) I am a very fussy eater.
Good points:
1) Am very good at rolling eyes.
2) ditto. loud signing with bordom.
3) ditto. loud fitting when necessary
I hope these race credentials will ensure a place in your fab trip. grin

Bambam Fri 22-Sept-17 15:24:54

Should be: excellent credentials !!!!

Bambam Fri 22-Sept-17 15:26:32

Also should be "loud sighing" ha!

CherryHatrick Fri 22-Sept-17 15:27:29

Sunseeker I'll bring the curry paste for the goat, you bring the oil and the breadcrumbs for the chicken, but don't mention anything to the Boss, because I get the feeling we might be lowering the tone by cooking al fresco on the sharra roof.

Bambam Fri 22-Sept-17 15:28:46

Also should be loud tutting when necessary.
Did I mention that I am also an excellent typist! grin

CherryHatrick Fri 22-Sept-17 15:35:13

Better strike that last post as I now see that livestock is verboten sad

If it is going to be a bit nippy in Prague, I'd better go and run the suede brush over my Moreland zip up knee boots; I haven´t worn them since 1985.

DanniRae Fri 22-Sept-17 15:37:21

Oh I'm so excited about this trip. I have been to Prague before and not only is there a trip around an amazing brewery but a chocolate factory to visit too! And trips in horse drawn carriages.................It would be great to be there around Christmas time.
We are going to have an amazing time..................Please let us know when we are going asap so I can plan my wardrobe.

Auntieflo Fri 22-Sept-17 15:40:39

Kateykrunch, I read that you know, and if I am not in charge, I will wear my prefects badge, so there! *And* I have been polishing my bus pass, just in case there is any chance that Business Class is downgraded to cattle class.

Heather51 Fri 22-Sept-17 15:44:19

Can I come please, I'd be very handy at getting us out of sticky situations - I can talk a lot of nonsense but sound so confident with it that everyone believes what I am saying: I can keep everyone interested as my DH is always telling me that I make him wonder: I can help with the clearing up as I can never pass a glass with drink in it without emptying it!
Unfortunately, I do have a problem with wandering off in the wrong direction: singing very loudly even though tone deaf: and bladder problems if laughing uproariously. I will bring extra pants though!

Greyduster Fri 22-Sept-17 15:54:01

Cherry if you dress the goat up (like the wolf in red riding hood), perhaps we could pass it off as another member of the party! The chin hair wouldn't be a problem - it would just look like me (but with better teeth!).

Greyduster Fri 22-Sept-17 15:56:23

I was a prefect at school, but an absolute pushover so I would be no bleddy good at all on this trip!

CherryHatrick Fri 22-Sept-17 16:05:34

GD I'll start training the goat to wear a teacosy bonnet, then the ears won't be a giveaway. I'll stop plucking my chin hairs in the meantime and should be able to hide the odd chicken in the resulting undergrowth by the end of the week.

Daisydoo2 Fri 22-Sept-17 16:06:51

I want to come on your trip, you all sound great fun. I do have OCD, anxiety and am generally twisted but on the plus side i will keep all clean and tidy, plan everything to the enth degree and argue for the sake of it with whoever wants to!

Blinko Fri 22-Sept-17 16:08:28

Hot choc you could stand a spoon in...mmmm

CherryHatrick Fri 22-Sept-17 16:13:12

GD Teachers chose the Prefects (no chance) apart from two, who were elected by the school (yay). I was frequently late to school so the Deputy Head decided I was just the right person to stand by the only unlocked door and clock in the late-comers...sneaky teacher. I've still got my badge, so I could be rounderupperer when the coach stops for "comfort breaks".

glynis1234 Fri 22-Sept-17 16:15:41

Would love to join you all.

I am very fussy with food.
Mostly deaf, so you will all need to speak up.
Can't walk far, (hips) and need the loo a lot.

Very kind and good mannered
Good at sharing
Don't sleep much, like plenty of fun

CherryHatrick Fri 22-Sept-17 16:20:57

Daisy if you do my share of the tidying and OCDing, I shall promise to always be available for arguing the point, the toss and even arguing just for the sake of it, with no hard feelings whatsoever afterwards.
