The queen saw the emotional upset in her family when Edward was cut out of the family, she was very fond of her
Uncle David, wonder if Margaret chose the name David for her son after her uncle.

I never trusted Megan after her solo walk down the aisle.

I thought the headlines in some of yesterday newspapers
amusing , showing Charles, Camilla,William and Kate visiting
the rehab centre ‘ The New Fab Four’.

I think that the Edward and Mrs Simpson saga hangs over the head of the Queen and has influenced her decision. I also think Prince Charles is being somewhat indulgent towards Harry, as perhaps we all are towards our children. I don’t know what to think about William, maybe he went along with his father and grandmother because he could see how hurt they were, and how they wanted to leave the door open for Harry to return to the fold if it doesn’t work out for him.
What really gets to me is the fact that H+M have lied, they said they wanted a quiet, private life, away from the media. Well it’s obvious that they don’t want that, what’s private and quiet about giving a keynote speech to 400 extremely rich people, including Tony Blair who was apparently in the audience. And now going on to negotiate another well paid contract with yet another bank with dubious morality. It’s hardly private or quiet is it?

Yes as jane10 says so true. Unfortunately there is nothing anyone can do, as it seems even his (R) family ha e no influence over him!

I know Namsnanny, it’s extremely disappointing. They could have done so much good, instead they are lining their own pockets. I really feel that the selling of Harry and his grief demeans both Harry and the Royal Family. And our country too.

Shame though maddyone ...I think of all the good they could do from their position.
A well connected good looking influential couple, they could be such a good force in the world!
Instead they look to sell themselves to the highest bidder!!

Be auctioned off to the highest bidder, is what I was going to say. I would find it demeaning. I’m surprised Harry doesn’t, because whatever we think of the royal family, lack of dignity is not something we normally associate with them. The Queen has had to cope, in her 94th year, with the horrible situation of her son Andrew, and then on top of that, this undignified situation with Harry and Meghan.

Indeed Annie, but will that really make him happy? I think it won’t, but that’s just my opinion. I wouldn’t give up my family, my country, and my job to follow someone who I loved back to their country, and then be effectively auttioned

Indeed Annie, how absolutely true.
I heard that Harry gave his (highly paid) speech at the J P Morgan conference all about how he was affected by his mother’s death and his ongoing therapy. I’m wondering how many more times he can talk about his mother’s death for profit. It seems somewhat unseemly to me to be honest. Profiteering from the death of a loved one, particularly when he comes from such a wealthy family, seems distasteful to me.
In any case, J P Morgan is a company that is about financial services as I understand it, so I’m at a loss as to understand why they wanted him as a speaker, except for the kudos of him being a royal prince.

Yes, Harry has taken the right course for himself, he gets the title, the mansion, the security, and leaves his brother to do
the work.

I wish Harry all the best and think he has taken the right course for himself. If he wants respect then he has to pay for his own security, home and travel. He also needs to stop preaching

Well I hope they find happiness, but not sure they will. I think Megan will be ok but Harry will struggle. Anyway good luck to them. This is the start of slimmed down RF and I am all in agreement with it.
