After watching the behaviour of the Brexit party MEPs today I feel embarrassed to be British - childish, appallingly rude and immature, I just hope the EU doesn't think they represent the British people.

Callistemon Wed 29-Jan-20 19:48:33

It was dreadful, I felt ashamed.

Bellanonna Wed 29-Jan-20 19:53:40

Me too. Such childish behaviour. I’m glad Mary McGuinness told them to leave.

lucywinter Wed 29-Jan-20 20:01:27

I think it was awful. Downright stupid. Not the best way to stay friends with others.

Grandma70s Wed 29-Jan-20 20:16:50

I felt acutely embarrassed just watching it. I think it’s probably a bit like being a civilised American cringing at Trump.

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 20:18:54

A real measure of the worth of a person is how they behave in victory. The Brexit MEPs are crude, graceless, uncouth, triumphalist shits who will now mostly disappear back to the cess pit they first emerged from.

Kandinsky Wed 29-Jan-20 20:19:52

Well they do represent the British people because we voted for them!

vegansrock Wed 29-Jan-20 20:24:04

A small minority of the British people voted for them. They don’t represent me.

Bellanonna Wed 29-Jan-20 20:24:49

suziewoozie, I couldn’t have put it better myself!?

nanaK54 Wed 29-Jan-20 20:29:01

So disrespectful

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 20:37:21

They don’t represent me

rafichagran Wed 29-Jan-20 20:45:28

Mary Mcguiness was brilliant. Sit down, your leaving, and take your flags with you. My partner and I laughed at this.

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 20:52:42

I’ve been impressed with MM for quite sometime now- bright, articulate, feisty.

MawB Wed 29-Jan-20 21:14:00

Nauseating man.
Might we hope we have heard the last of him and his cronies?

Grannycool52 Wed 29-Jan-20 21:23:36

Suzie, I was just reading that Mairead McGuiness was the first woman to graduate in her university's BSc in Agricultural Economics course. Feisty indeed.
I agree with you all - Farage is a vile man and his performance today was excruciatingly embarrassing.

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 21:35:41

So Granny with MM wysiwyg. Just like with NF.

Grannycool52 Wed 29-Jan-20 21:50:58

Wysiwyg ??

suziewoozie Wed 29-Jan-20 21:53:08

What you see what you get - she comes across as bright and feisty and clearly she is. NF comes across as a slimy stupid shit and clearly he is

Mapleleaf Wed 29-Jan-20 22:06:40

I cringed at his behaviour alongside that of his cronies there. They behaved in an extremely juvenile fashion, and they most certainly do not represent me. Unfortunately, MawB, I don't think we have heard the last of him - he loves the limelight too much and loves stirring. Horrible man.

Dollymac Wed 29-Jan-20 22:15:48

Their behaviour was beyond the pale.
They do not recognise dignity, humility or have any semblance of class.
It was a hugely embarrassing display of bad manners
What on earth must they think of us?

Grannycool52 Wed 29-Jan-20 22:35:57

Thanks Suzie?.

absent Wed 29-Jan-20 22:36:33

Given the puerile level of behaviour, someone should smack their bottoms and send them to bed without any tea.

pinkquartz Wed 29-Jan-20 22:40:53

They were awful.
I was embarrassed and ashamed to be British and represented by them.
I wish there was something I could sign to say I am not with them!
We have al been shamed today.

Ginny42 Wed 29-Jan-20 22:41:32

I felt very sad and then angry. What a rabble! But that's what they went there to do isn't it? The last contingent were given license to go and be rude to the member states of the EU, but they've been drawing a salary/expenses for the time spent there.

I wonder did even one of them begin to reflect that we're better off being on good terms with our European neighbours?

We're soon to be a very small country and will need friends.

annodomini Wed 29-Jan-20 22:41:33

They really showed their true colours. What an insult to the flag of our country.
