I will not be celebrating leaving the EU.
Are any of you going to Party the night away ?

MiniMoon Thu 30-Jan-20 22:42:53

No!

I'm taking my granddaughter to her kayaking club for her tuition night at the local pool.

janeainsworth Thu 30-Jan-20 22:44:46

No. And I’ll probably wear black sad

MawB Thu 30-Jan-20 22:45:17

What a tacky thought.

Bellanonna Thu 30-Jan-20 22:48:15

Looking forward to some nice “silly” conversation with my lovely little granddaughters.

Doodledog Thu 30-Jan-20 23:00:54

No, I won't be celebrating.

Opal Thu 30-Jan-20 23:03:16

Yes, will be toasting our bright future at 11pm.

MaizieD Thu 30-Jan-20 23:04:08

Nothing to celebrate.

silverlining48 Thu 30-Jan-20 23:04:22

No celebrating for me either. I am old enough to remember the dark days before we joined the EEC when we were regarded as the sick man of Europe.

Humbertbear Thu 30-Jan-20 23:07:41

We will have friends stayin. On our own we would be mourning the passing of an era but we don’t know how they voted

tanith Thu 30-Jan-20 23:08:00

Nothing to celebrate here, move along.

Dollymac Thu 30-Jan-20 23:12:37

We won't be celebrating here, no

Callistemon Thu 30-Jan-20 23:35:18

I will probably be in bed reading my novel.

As I can't change things there is no point in worrying.

Callistemon Thu 30-Jan-20 23:47:15

I may watch Brexitcast transform into Newscast.

annep1 Fri 31-Jan-20 00:33:39

I feel very sad. No one I know is celebrating.

Caramac Fri 31-Jan-20 01:40:56

No celebrating here. I’m sad.

Lucca Fri 31-Jan-20 06:06:08

As it happens I am going out tonight for a friends big birthday and I just hope nobody thinks we are celebrating brexit. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

vegansrock Fri 31-Jan-20 06:12:50

People do know that the WA means everything is the same until Dec 31 don’t they? No doubt there will be some beating up of foreigners.

kittylester Fri 31-Jan-20 06:58:04

There will be no celebrations here but an acceptance of the will of the people.

NotSpaghetti Fri 31-Jan-20 07:36:05

veganstock - I really do hope not but I fear it too.
There has been a lot of abuse, for sure.

Nortsat46 Fri 31-Jan-20 08:08:16

No celebrations here.
I am sad and disappointed.

dragonfly46 Fri 31-Jan-20 08:12:44

No celebration here just a feeling of great sadness.

mcem Fri 31-Jan-20 08:56:03

No celebrating. As I posted on another thread, I'll support the Leave a Light On movement and place a candle in the window tonight.

Granarchist Fri 31-Jan-20 09:50:58

OH's birthday today. We are having a pro Europe supper with friends. No Brexiteers will be present. Italian starter/Bavarian main/French pud with Spanish option and European cheeses.

Welshwife Fri 31-Jan-20 09:54:40

No celebrating here - I too remember before we joined and how gradually things got better for us. DGS tells me he cannot think about it as it makes him so angry.
