What work does he do in Wales please when he stays at the beautiful
Llwynywermod? Just curious?

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 19:33:35

he is Prince of Wales and so carries out some of his royal duties in Wales

NanaandGrampy Thu 26-Mar-20 21:17:49

In a recent documentary about Prince Charles May7 and they detailed a lot of what he does when he is in Wales. It was a bit of an eye opener about what he did and how well respected he was by the people there.

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 21:22:44

True NanaandGrampy his work in Wales is never recorded in the media , he does have the respect of many in Wales.

Camilla too , she visits refuges for abused women .

Thank you now I understand.
Have we seen much of them recently here in Wales? Just discussing the last time they were here with my DH, we cant remember confused
Oh no forgot for a second they are in Scotland isolating.

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 21:39:02

he was in Ponty in February visiting the flood victims , suppose you don’t watch BBCWales News.

May7 Thu 26-Mar-20 21:45:19

Yep you suppose correctly smilewell done

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 21:55:28

Not well done, I always watch BBCWales News, and I remember his visit , I have friends in Ponty and was so upset
seeing the damage caused

May7 Thu 26-Mar-20 21:58:41

I was saying well done for you supposing that I did not watch the BBC Wales news.
I watch S4C usually.

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 22:00:47

Oh, sorry you were being sarcastic, ok

paddyanne Thu 26-Mar-20 22:47:58

Charlie wouldn't know a hard days work if it bit his backside .I really cant understand why you believe what he does is worth the vast amount he gets .I'm not anti wealth "Annie" I just think people should work for it ,unlike his dear father who has 30 million I believe all for walking behind the queen and shaking hands while being obnoxious .
They are all a waste of space ,the French had the right idea at the right time. Its an out of date concept and must come to its natural conclusion when Lizzie dies .See I'm not evil I wouldn't chuck her out on her ear at her age

Anniebach Thu 26-Mar-20 22:51:57

Praising cutting off heads isn’t evil ? I disagree

maddyone Thu 26-Mar-20 23:33:38

Well I’m not sure murdering the Royal Family is on the cards, thankfully.
It’s been reported that Richard Branson has put out his hand for a hand out from the government during the Coronavirus crisis, and he doesn’t even live in Britain so he doesn’t have to pay taxes here, and he’s a billionaire. Let’s get cross about that shall we! I think he’s got a damn nerve.

May7 Thu 26-Mar-20 23:43:37

Beggars belief really doesnt it angry

Callistemon Fri 27-Mar-20 00:26:52

maddyone I am very angry with Branson and think he has a nerve.
And that Wetherspoons man.

paddyanne do you like knitting?

Iam64 Fri 27-Mar-20 08:14:01

The mention of Branson and Tim the Weathersoon man reminds me of why I stopped wanting an elected head of state when I reached my mid 20's and had a bit more understanding of the world.
Disgusting individuals, wealthy beyond anyone's understanding yet one refusing to pay his staff, the other exploiting our rail franchise (till the Marxist chancellor re nationalised them) and asking for money from the government. Yuk. I'd rather keep our monarchy in the slimmed down version that is becoming reality.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 27-Mar-20 08:50:03

Iam64 ditto

May7 Fri 27-Mar-20 08:50:58

callistemon
Clever grin
You've made me laugh this morning thank you

GrannyGravy13 Fri 27-Mar-20 09:23:44

Can I ask all of you who are vehemently against Prince Charles being tested for Covid-19, how do you feel about the 115 migrants (illegal immigrants) who arrived on UK shores yesterday immediately being tested?

timetogo2016 Fri 27-Mar-20 09:27:27

Spot on Gaunt47.

gillybob Fri 27-Mar-20 09:28:57

I’m not sure GrannyGravy in one way I’m glad they were, but on the other hand if more of us could be tested it may be that many people are immune and could be helping others instead of being kept indoors.

As for prince charles it wouldn't surprise me if they have a private ventilator on stand by just incase .

Anniebach Fri 27-Mar-20 09:57:47

gillybob if you could buy a private ventilator would you ?

Grannynannywanny Fri 27-Mar-20 09:59:06

Grannygravy I would assume they had to be tested as they would be at high risk of spreading it to everyone they are in contact with. Whereas Prince Charles is in isolation in a very large house with his personal physician and a team of household staff caring for all his needs. As they will be taking all the necessary precautions he is not a risk to others

MawB Fri 27-Mar-20 10:00:13

Iam64 - seconding or is it “thirding” that.

Anniebach Fri 27-Mar-20 10:02:24

Is it known Charles has his personal physician at Birkall ?

Is it known he has a personal physician?
