Fireworks , ugh

I can’t stand the things, frightening all the wildlife and pets . Hoping we won’t have many in our area tonight, we have three pets our dog reacts to them by wagging his tail and barking, one cat runs behind sofa and the other one watches them out the window, feliway at the ready

Same old, same old. This argument will go on and on.

I've always loved fireworks. Used to time holidays in France for public displays.

My suggestion would be save the loud bangs for public displays which are usually well heralded so you can grit your teeth, take avoiding action and are only a few days a year.

Make the proliferation of private displays noiseless fireworks and limit the hours.

I lived in the country. I counted ten displays in one week from all around the valley around Nov 5th. Not great for people with young children, nervous pets or livestock - two horses scatted into fencing and had to be put down - don't know about wildlife. Then there was a local wedding venue...
