Argh my proof reading always fails me until after I hit the post button. Would it really be too much to ask for an edit function.

We should all disable autocorrect - that would get rid of 90% of my mistakes at a stroke.

Can't stand typing on phone- always use tablet and proper keyboard!

Don’t worry about phone kali need new brain
No we will never get one
I ve never ever had a problem on any other forums 99% of the time it’s used to correct spelling or wrong words and not having one doesn’t stop rudeness at all I was called a wicked witch by one ‘circus acrobat’ who shall not be name and it sat there for days

A different site, but 139 laughing emojis on a post made me realise that I had asked about 'winter panties' and not 'winter pansies'. An edit button would have been great, once I'd realised the mistake! ??

Thing is, most of us read through the errors and do understand what was intended. Unless my intention was completely skewed, I would not attempt to correct. I certainly would not correct any spelling errors. Too much like hard work. If pedants want to assume I can't spell, then so be it.

Isn't that what 'preview' is for?
Although, I do agree that an edit button would be handy!

I agree, I do proof read but mistakes get through and I get frustrated because I can’t correct them. An edit function would be good.
