I have a car that bleeps at me whether I’m reversing, driving, parking etc.
Two fridges freezers that bleep, a microwave, Thermomix, washing machine, dishwasher, air fryer and hob.
I’m sure there’s more.
It drives me mad.

The most annoying is the loud three-tone ring on my Jazz, which makes me jump and is very distracting. Nothing in the manual about this. Finally noticed that after the ringing a notice on the dashboard said "Driver's Manual has been updated". I presume this must be on-line, as my manual is in the boot! Some of the other notices can be turned off permanently, but others not. Completely illogical, and most frustrating. I don't need to be told that something is overtaking. I can see it in the mirror, and if I can't I shouldn't be driving.

I had my burglar alarm removed after mr I died. He’d be the one who set it. He did tell me the code which I wrote down in that black hole that is the safe place. The wretched things go off if we have a storm or the electricity supply disappears.
I have two dogs who bark loudly if anyone dares walk up the drive. One sounds ferocious 🐶🐕.
I’m relieved it’s gone

Take your vehicle to the dealer, they can stop all that bleeping.

I love my induction hob- except for the way it beeps at me so often. If I accidently lean on it, it beeps, when I wipe it down with a damp cloth it beeps, when I put something on it whilst it is off, it beeps. Keep telling it to shut up , . but it takes absolutely no notice of me. My fridge bleeps at me whilst I am trying to put my shopping away Sadly, the bottom freezer part of it does NOT bleep, wish it would do so when I do not shut the door properly.

My induction hob used to beep at me when anything was over the controls. My cat worked out that when he wanted a drink from the tap he could lay on the hob to summon me! I now turn the hob off at the mains and leave it off until I need to use it.

I am very grateful for all my digital noises which go straight to my digital hearing aids, without that, I would forget half of it

I am profoundly deaf. It has its advantages.

🤣🤣 My washing machine plays a little tune when it has finished!

Mine does too... it's a happy little tune. I keep meaning to record it and put it on FB.

If your washing machine is a Samsung then it 'Die Forelle' (The Trout) composed by Shubert.

My old Jazz doesn't have excessive beeps. When it tells me I have left the lights on or keys in I always thank it!

The only household item that annoys me is the air fryer which sounds 11 times when it finishes. I like symmetry so a prime number grates on me.

Was it made especially for the band Spinal Tap?
You know the one about the joke where you could turn the sound up to 11 on the band nembers new stereo system.

I think your Air Fryer should be in Show Business and have its own website

What with my husband's phone, which he always has on loud, the washing machine, and the tumble dryer, it's like madness in this house at times. I recently bought a new cooker with a timer on it, so that adds to the chaos.
What is it with all these reminders? You can hear when a washing machine stops; you know when you put food in how long it takes, etc., so what is wrong with getting up and looking in the oven, etc.?
As for phones, I long for the ring of a proper house phone, but you try and get one. These days it's all odd beeps, but saying that, does anyone remember the Trimphones way back with that high-pitched chirping?

So just to add to the bleep thread. When we drive anywhere with our dog we have to make sure all the seatbelts on the back seat are fastened as if the dog shifts his weight over a little bit to a spot where the seat belt is undone, the car has hysterics. This has happened at 70mph on a motorway.

Loud beeping woke me at three o'clock this morning, was it the diabetic sensor reader under my pillow, the new heart monitor plugged in by side of bed or the house alarm in the hall ? The house alarm won this time.Took me ages to get back to sleep.
