That’s it, I just do.

I know, I know. I just can’t help myself 🙄

I once made a terrible professional mistake I think that’s why.

Should have had a quick look behind him before exiting his seat. How often have you left specs or similar?
Not quite as important as a loaded gun however.

🥺👓✈️🔫

No I don’t. A gun is a dangerous weapon and you need to be responsible when in charge of one. He is supposed to be a professional for goodness sake.

I left my new iPhone in the restaurant last night, had to go back and get 🤬

No one is infallible, although I appreciate that leaving your gun behind is a huge security failure.

suziewoozie Sat 19-Sep-20 10:11:24

Well he’s paying the price isn’t he? Unlike some.

What a numpty
Nothing this government is even remotely connected with seems to show any professionalism or even competence.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 19-Sep-20 10:14:23

This government will go down in history,I think, as the most incompetent ever. No other government has come close.

Oldwoman70 Sat 19-Sep-20 10:17:52

No I don't feel sorry for him. His job was to protect Raab - losing his gun, never mind on a plane, shows a total lack of professionalism.

Lexisgranny Sat 19-Sep-20 10:30:50

I don’t feel sorry for him either. If, as reported, the gun was in a holster, surely as he got off the plane he must have known that something was missing about his person.

We can all be absent minded at times, but surely it is a prerequisite of the job that a bodyguard must be absolutely certain of every detail.

I must admit, reluctantly, that most things connected with this government have been a disaster. My problem is going to be where I cast my vote in the next election. Frankly there is no party or person that fills me with confidence.

It’s now being said in his defence that he was given the job of sorting out the passports. If that’s true, whoever thought that was a good idea?

suziewoozie Sat 19-Sep-20 10:34:15

Isn’t it possible to feel sorry for someone who has done something very wrong? You can agree that he pays the price professionally obvs.

eazybee Sat 19-Sep-20 10:34:32

Leaving a loaded gun, which should be to hand at all times, is not like leaving behind a pair of spectacles.

25Avalon Sat 19-Sep-20 10:34:36

Why wasn’t he wearing the gun the whole time- either hip or shoulder holster?

Clearly multi-tasking is not one of his strengths...

EllanVannin Sat 19-Sep-20 10:37:53

How can anyone forget a gun for God's sake ?

suziewoozie Sat 19-Sep-20 10:40:14

It’s not about it being one of his strengths, if it’s true it’s about why he was supposed to be doing anything other than guarding DR. You can’t be on high alert surely on landing and disembarking and checking you've got all passports?

suziewoozie Sat 19-Sep-20 10:42:37

Well EV he did. That’s the question - how.

This has nothing to do with the government, it was a mistake by Raab’s armed bodyguard....but why miss a chance to have a pop ...even at the wrong person.

What, with your gun?

Yes, it is suzie and I feel sorry for him too and agree with what you wrote.
Obviously the saints on GN think differently.

Yes, I am still missing a pair of spectacles (different flight).

But a loaded gun?
Well, I always make sure mine's exactly where it should be.
