I think you need to knit the next 4 rows as follows:

1st row Inc. in first stitch, knit to last 2sts inc in next st, k1 (16sts)
2nd row Purl
3rd row Inc in first stitch, k3, p1,k3,p1,k3,p1, k2,inc in next stitch, k1 (18sts)
4th row Purl

Glad you got it sorted Marelli

Oops! Why am I so daft? I had another look and saw what I had to do, and now I've done it just a couple of quid, too! smile

nanapug, I saw on your last post that you'd found another pattern on Ravelry? Can you just download a pattern for free from them? I'd seen one that I liked, but it doesn't seem to have a download facility.

Thank you for your advice ladies but have given up and found another pattern on Ravelry. Am getting on fine now!!

nanapug Sun 06-Jul-14 21:50:14

But it is so beautiful!!

Elegran Sun 06-Jul-14 21:49:34

I think I would be finding a different pattern.

nanapug Sun 06-Jul-14 21:37:03

No they are not symmetrical Elegran, that is what is confusing me, it just doesn't make sense to me

Elegran Sun 06-Jul-14 20:24:51

Do the numbers for the other sizes help? Are they symmetrical at that point in the pattern?

Elegran Sun 06-Jul-14 20:23:59

I think it should be K1, not K0. That would be symmetrical with the other end of the row.

nanapug Sun 06-Jul-14 20:20:06

Yes, there are different numbers for different sizes but have just mentioned the ones for the size I am doing

mcem Sun 06-Jul-14 19:53:11

Could it be for different sizes eg 1st size k0, but 2nd size k2, 3rd size k4 etc? Probably daft suggestion as you may well have checked that!

Nelliemoser Sun 06-Jul-14 19:14:21

How many stitches did you start with?
Have you just tried knitting it to see what happens? k0 is very vague.

I am not sure I can help much. It never fails to amaze me how many errors you find in knitting patterns.

When you have done the last k3, p1 on the third row, how many stitches are on your left hand needle?

nanapug Sun 06-Jul-14 18:00:25

Am a bit confused so need some help please ladies. Am making some little baby shoes. The pattern reads as follows :

1st Row Inc. in first stitch, knit to last 2sts inc in next st, k1
2nd row Purl
3rd row Inc in first stitch, k1, p1,k3,p1,k3,p1, k0,inc in next stitch, k1
4th row Purl

That is fine. It then says From 1st to 4th row sets position of pattern. Keep continuity of pattern a set (throughut) work 4 rows inc 1st at each end of first and foll alt row

It is the 3rd row I can not work out ladies. What should the pattern be please?
